Today at the barn, I took Murphy out and lunged him. He was really excited and bucked 4 or 5 times. It was pretty cute, to see him cantering around with his tail in the air, and his head up high, and then roll in the snow.

Murphys a Thoroughbred!

Yep. If I'm not mistaken, his sire (Normar) was a registered Canadian Sport horse down in the Maritimes, and his dam was a Thoroughbred. Normar is sinced passed away. Not sure about his dam. They were both either dark bay, or black, I believe. I never met them. And I think Murphy has a couple of siblings here in NL? I think.. haha. I heard one was at Stone Cliff and the other was at Cloverdale, but who knows.

Both Murph's parents were dark bay, so the story goes.

And Sarah is right, as far as I know he is related to Duff and Beetle. Obviously we all know where Duffy is but has anyone heard of Beetle lately? Is the old guy still kickin' around somewhere?

Beetle is at Cloverdale, and has a fantastic mommy! Keeza was also sired by Normar, Keeza is owned by Jess and Shelia Anstey, and she lives across from my parents house.

beetles still here i adooreee soyna so much.. she loves that horse more then life (possibly john if i dare say so.. LOL) beetle is fat as can be (seriously.. pushing jenny craige limiets ) i adore that overbite man <3 haha

i had no idea keeza was also related! too cool.

I don't think I've ever met Beetle! I'll have to see him next time I'm in town, and I had no clue Duff and Murphy were half brothers!!!! That's awesome. All I knew was it was a horse at Cloverdale haha. And who's Keeza? Any pictures??

Keeza is an absolutely beautiful Thoroughbred..she's picture perfect bay, with a big white blaze. She is so gorgeous! If I remember I will get you some pictures when I am at moms again!
