posted new pix in his portfolio....
today...joan watched me ride and took pix...we did:
-w/t and a little bit of canter
-circles
-leg yeilding
-surpintins
-one turn on the forehand
and then went on a little cool out hack with katie on lucky and jess on cabbie...sid was wicked...he had a few nervous issues before, but today he did wicked..so happy he will be fine i think to go with becca on a trail ride saturday!!
i love my pony so much!!!

This might be the stupidest question in the world but, what do you mean by poping his sholder on circles?
And what did you do to get him out of hopping into his trot (Lugo does that too)?

today sid and i had a break through...after a lot fo circles and surpintines at the walk and trot, i decided to get into some canter..we have been having a lot trouble with..today we did probably 5 long sides of canter in each direction..he was so good and balanced...i was like what the hell lets try a circle....AND HE DID IT..several times actually!!
i am so proud of him...his last canter circle for beth was little unbalanced..but other than that he was perfect!!
he's gonna to get tomorrow off...i dont want to we have been doing so good..but i work til 9!!thursday i'm gonna do some hard core stuff again!! maybe we will show in the dressage show in august if we are ready!!

today i had a lesson with biz!! it went wicked, she helped me with getting sid off hi forehand and start using his hind. we did a lot of walk trot work. and she even gave me a few pointers when i showed her his canter...i<3 you biz..xo she is going to hop on his tomorrow and figure him out a little more.
it was a very sucessful ride!!!

had a lesson with susan last night..went wicked..we worked on getting sid more supple at the walk and trot..and worked on my position tons..haha i so need to get make into more lessons. we are doing great and having lots of fun falling even more in love. tomorrow sid is getting his hoofs trimmed and getting fronts shoes on. hopefully i can take them off for the winter and just have them on for the summer. i guess i'll have to talk to kevin about that! his front feet have been wearing down cause he still tends to fall on the forehand and work sometimes just from the forehand. but we are working on that:)!!

today i went in the dressage show clinic that was after the show today with the judge we had in, sid did wicked...we worked on transitions at the w/t, corners(he was either cutting them or going to deep), my position..speically through the transitions, i tend to through myself forward when asking sid to trot. we also worked on getting sid to be lighter in his downward transitions... the judge said his hind end is weak...that to do some hill work will help build that hind end. and where he is unbalanced to not do as many circles, to go large and do fewer circles to balance him first then try circles. in the half hour we worked with him, sid went from great to amazing..i felt so good afterwards:)...very successful clinic:)<3
can't wait til tomorrow to work more on this stuff!!!

woo wicked to hear nat  sorry i couldnt come down  had to ride my baby plus nephew boone (in the pouring rain with my saddle, almost had a breakdown haha) for hill work you should come with me to our back feild, it's amazing to build up there bums! im doing it a billion times a day now with boob to get him back in shape for the CTR |

...the other thing we worked on was our free walk on a loose rein...watch out girlies..sid puts his head almost to the ground..and sometimes even shakes..haha
i'm so proud of him!!
