as you all know im working with this horse sid!!!

i started riding sid about a 2months ago..and he's starting to really progress..which i'm super proud of him for!!!

today i had a lesson..and as everyone knows it was nasty out...so that means a million times worse up at kings...liz(my coach..who i loves tons) and i did a lunge lesson with sid...normally our lunge lessons end up me chasing him to do anything...and jump infront of him to gte him to stop...but today was a whole different story....

we started off without side reins..at a walk...and he actually was showing impulsion from hind..tracking up beautifully..that was our warm up...then we hooked on the side reins and went right into a trot....sid picked it up right away..no chasing*loves*...i as so proud...then we worked on our walk to trot transitions..cuz he does this lil hop thing when he tries to pick up his trot..cuz he tries and gets it from the forehand..not hind end(silly baby)...but as we got into he worked out of it..and actually started engaging from his hind ..then we went into doing halt walk trot..then back down trot walk halt tranisitions...everytime i asked he responed right away....my arms started getting tired as they would after like 1/2hr 45minutes straight(speically cuz im just getting back into riding after a year off)..so liz took him...and he was being such a superstar and actually beng super balanced...she ran with him and got baby to canter ..and he was actually balanced...the i took him back and we started his cool out...
he didnt even break a sweat=)...took him in and put him in his new stall which is right by nick..andgave him lots of cuddles and kisses...and 4 big apples..cuz i was a very proud mommy!!!
im hopping to get up to kings tomorrow with emily to have a western lesson and maybe work some more on my superstar....

grlies keep an eye out for him in the shows..hes gonna be stunning=)

awww Sid <3 You guys seem like you're doing excellent! Can't wait to see you in action at shows!! Congrats on all the progress, and good luck with him!

lunged sid again today..he was awesome..
we did a lot of halt walk trot transitions...he did stunning...its bananas how amazing hes coming along...
sid is really starting to engage from his hind..which im super happy about..no more of this hopping into his trot...hes really starting to listen and actually responing to ur commands now...im so proud:)

i probably wont get to see him now til thursday cuz i have work...maybe ill get to work on him some more than!!!

sooo i had a lesson yesterday on Sid and he was really good, we did some poles and things working on our stight line and blanance , we did some walk to trot transitions to get us listening and moving. We then did some canter in both directions, on the right he liked to stopped next to all his buddies but we got out of it pretty quick and he did wonderful. His best canter was on the left, Liz and everyone agreed that he was very good and blanced, not rushing in to it at all.Then we finished up with some good walk,trot tranistions!Overall i was really please and really enjoyed my lesson with him!!i felt like we both learned something!

had a lesson on sid today, did a nice long warm up...alot of walk on a loose rein. then we started trot, he was doing amazing...really picking up his legs, his circles are coming along, can actually make a circle and it not look crazy!i think only once today he hopped into his trot, but other than that he was a superstar=)!! we then cantered he did amazing of course, we did it a few times in each direction(his left is better than his right)...he gets all weird at F so i decided thats th best place to pick it up...he startd getting to hyper with it...so we did some trot walk transitions and then a nice long walk cool out cuz he was breathing heavy and sweating
..he got 4 big carrots for his treat cuz he did amazing=)!!

i'm hoping to go up tomorrow and monday and do some work with him!!!

so i went up today, and it was crazy windy out. all the ponies were in!!

i took off sid's blanket and gave him a good groom, he loved it. then i tacked him up, put side reins on, and out we went with our lunging equipment!!

we did a walk warm up with ot the side reins, the i hooked them up andwent into trot, he was amazing right on command he picked it up, no hopping=)...so then we worked on alot of halt walk trot walk halt commands, a few times he ignored me..but i think that was cuz he couldnt hear me cuz of all the wind. then i worked on getting him to halt square, i do want him to be a dressage horse=)!!! all in all he was a superstar.

i then took him in and took some pictures of him with his pink saddle pad on(which i will post later), and untacked him, gave him another good grooming(made sure all the knots were out of his tail), and out some hoof lotion on his hoofs, cuz they were a little dry, and in a few spots peeling...he looked so cute with it on, he stood there and didn't move, while i went and picked out his stall his hoofs dryed...i as so happy he didn't dance on crossties today, but back on his blanket cuz it as cold, and gave him 3 apple cores(i was hungry), gave him some hay and tucked him in for the night!!

i'm so in love...i'm hoping i'll have my money situation figured out so i can start doing a part lease with him=)!!

dependin on how tomorrow is and how i feel i think i'm going up and working some more with him=)!!
