Rode Sid in my lesson today!
It's was good, his walk and trot are really coming along, which i couldn't be happier about! His canter, oh my today wasn't a good day, he was getting excited and i was having trouble control him cause i have the flu(very weak)..and him getting strong, we fought a little at the canter. He was not staying on the rail and the me trying to get him to go to the wall, he would bolt and wiggle, throughing me of balance when i was trying to canter him! A few times i had to make him face the wall, cause i just could not handle him. Very fustrating!
I have another lesson tomorrow, so we are going to work more on this. Hopefully my camera will be working, and i'll get some pictures of us riding!
All in all we did have a good ride, he's coming along, but i also knows he still has a way to come...right now, i'm working out some money situations and it looks like by the beginning of march i should be leasing him, so then i ill have more time to work with him=)

Another lesson on sid<3!! Today we worked on walk and trot!!! We also did turn on the forehand and rein back. He is starting to do amazing with his walk, working at a nice medium walk, which i'm very proud of him for ;D!! His trot is coming along nicely, there is some room for improvement, but he may have hopped once into his trot(which was totally my falut, cause i wasn't fully prepared), and when he picks up his trot, it's into a forward working trot, and feels phenomial  !! He also isn't dropping his head into my hands as much, he's trying very hard to carry himself. His rein backs definately are coming only nicely also, although after 3 steps back he starts getting wiggley, so that is something we can now work on..specially cause i have all the time in the world[glow=red,2,300](as of march first i start leasing him ;D!!)[/glow]...I'm so happy with him, he's coming along in leaps and bounds!! Hoping we'll be ready for show season!! Seening Shelly's clinic i coming up, i have been working on some tricks...he can bendhis head right to his belly on the left side, on his right he just spins, and he'll put his head down to his knees for a treat, but won't yet go between his legs...he's my little super star though!!  Joan and Sarah were up with me today, and got some pictures so as soon as i get them, i'll have them uploaded and posted for everyone too see how good we are doing, and how hott we are together  !!! Woo! Glad you had a great lesson and it's good to hear that his training is comming along nicely.
Congrats on the leasing him in March - I know you're super excited.

Yay Natasha!! I know how important this horse is to you and I'm so happy you'll be leasing him. Glad to hear he's coming along and I'm coming out to your lessons asap!! He's a sweetheart!

thanks girls, i'm beyond thrilled to start leasing sid, i'm totally in love!!! as first i didn't think i would be able to lease him, and it broke my heart, but now that i can, i'm on cloud 9!!!

went up for my lesson yesterday..couldn't ride sid. poor lil guy couldn't barely walk out of his stall, he is developing an abcess on his heel. i might haveto post-pon my lease until he is better. i rode sofie which was different(i'm not use to riding mares anymore..lol). but she was good!! after my lesson i came in and soaked sid's hoof in epsom salts and warm after for like 10mins. he really didn't want to keep his heel down, so i got a cup and started pouring the water over the area of the abcess. poor lil guy, i know he must be hurting!!
mom is taking me up soon to go soak his hoof again!!

went up and saw sid today...soaked his hoof in epsom salts and warm water again..still not comfortable...but he did better with keeping his hoof in the water..poor baby is in pain!!
