July 8,2007 Thanks Julia, she was pretty good yesterday. The only thing was for a little while she wouldn't stop leaning on her inside leg! But after she was fine & droped her head a bit! I cooled out bareback. My overall ride was bad but she will hopefully be better for me today! She has her days, just like every pony mare!

July 9, 2007 I went down to the barn yesterday and Jazzy was outside so first I cleaned out her stall completely, water buckets & her feed bin. Then when I was done cleaning all of that, Jazzy was on her way in from he field. While she was eating her dinner, I groomed her very well, I then went outside and set up a pole course! I went inside and put her saddle on and Jazzy usually makes faces when I do up her girth so I did it slowly and she was fine, I gave her a sugar cube for that and then i put on her bridle & she is not to fond of putting the bit in her mouth so I tried and I tried and when she did I gave her another sugar cube! I then headed out to the arena to ride with Solange & Cabbie! I got on and did some warm up at the walk, some circles and some across the diagonals & some poles. Then I picked my trot and it was nice & forward but she was putting her head up in the air (she loves outside), so I did some 20 meter circles to get her to drop her head and when she did we went large. After, we started some diagonal changes, figure eight & serpentines over poles and she was great! We went over the line of poles, working on trying to get Jazzy to go straight to the fence after the jump instead of turning a few strides after. After a few lines I walked a little and asked her to canter, she was spot on! No, trot slept or nothing just straight into her canter! I am so proud of her Then we did some trot canter transitions and they were fab, too! She never even rushed into it. Then we changed direction at the trot over a pole and I walked for a while to give her a breather! Then after a few minutes I put my leg back, put my inside leg on, felt my contact and cantered off! It was probably the best right lead transition ever! By that time, I was very proud of my girly so I cooled out and put her back inside! But thats not all. I untacked her, brushed her & gave her some treats and then...put some fly spray on and put her fly mask on and put a lunge line on her halter and me and Jasmine & Lucas went up to the meadow to graze the ponies! They probably at what they were getting for supper so we brought them back to the barn just in times for supper! My over all day and ride was just amazing!

July 27, 2007 I went down to the barn yesterday for a lesson with Erin & I rode western ! <3 haha We worked on poles and stops! For the stops it'd lope her into the fence & say "woah" & let the fence stop her! I was afraid she was gonna jump the fence..but she never! Yes!! haha My lesson was wickedd and it was super warm out so I hosed her off after my lesson! She was my superstar mare! <3 P.s-I am ordering my own western saddle soon! ohhh lala!

July 27,2007 Andy: Today I went down to the barn to have a lesson with Erin. I looked at the lesson board & Erin had my signed up to ride Andy in my lesson again. So, I took Andy out on cross ties and groomed him, gave him & Jazzy a few carrots & tacked up! I decided it would be cool to ride Andy western for once so I threw on his western tack & headed out to the arena. I tightened my cinch & put my stirrups up a few holes & mounted up! I warmed up a little bit at the walk before Erin came out to teach. When Erin came out I started to Jog a little bit...except Andy was pretty excited seeing there was 3 other horses in the arena doing pole courses! So I tightened up my reins so i had more contact & slowed him down by sitting more on my seat, relaxing my legs, half halts, a soft voice and 10 mete circles. He steaded his jog up after some small circles. Then we worked on some stops! Now Andy being Western pro stopped as soon as I said "Woah"! I was amazed! Then I went out on the rail and did some lope! Before we ended my lesson we did lope stops and he was super! Then to cool out Maria on Rudy, Cass on Mav, Julia on Beau & myself on Andy went on a cool out hack! My ride was super!
Jazzy:
I never rode Jazzy today, instead, I gave her today, Saturday & Sunday off! What an awesome vacation? I turned Jazzy & Lucky out in their field for a few hours to enjoy the beautiful weather! When they were outside, I cleaned out her stall & water buckets! At 7:00, me & Jess turned Jazzy & Lucky back inside for supper! While Jazzy was eating supper , I put up her stall guard and groomed her! Before I left I sponged off her sweaty spots & put fly spray on her! Whooo...what a day!

Hi Everybody. Today, I had a western lesson with Erin. It was great. I was hoping to jump but Erin told me to ride western! So I headed down to the barn today after I went to sunshine camp and checked the lesson board! I checked & I was riding at 3:30....western! I headed out to the field to catch Jazzy and she is so simple to catch anyways but today she walked up to me. I brought her into the barn and gave her a grooming & put on her western tack and headed out to the arena for my lesson & we worked on patterns!! Then Erin hopped on her <3
Lesson Tommrow.....I shall keep u updated

Rode western the other day and Jazz was AMAZING!!!! I was so happy with her. We practiced just keeping her head down and moving a little more collected, and she usually extends but shes progressing really well. I finished my ride by going on a trail ride with nat....in the rain... not fun I am riding today, I 'll keep you updated !!!
