Alright I've been back a week now and have been up to the barn three times. I havent ridden yet (maybe tomorrow? we'll see) but I've been spending a lot of time with Cativa.
.... she now nickers at me whenever I walk away.
Not attached, at all, I swear.
Anywho, I made a couple of videos of us together but I can't upload them because they are the wrong kind of file... and I cant find an option for any other type. C'est la vie!

ahh i hate when that happens.. my old camera was like that and could only watch them on quicktime and not windows (which uploads to EVERYTHING) sucks! but my new camera is god <3 haha. prince does that too.. well minute he can't see me he won't stand still or constantly move till he can see me.. nat can voutch for my loon very attached momma's boy horse  |

haha Okay... well, I havent been up to the barn much, and I havent ridden since before reading week maybe? Its been around a month now I think.
I was up to the barn this past wednesday and heard that Andre had started Cativa.... I was hoping for good news but alas, horse threw a fit, being the diva she is.
Andre tacked her up and she was fine, but he had one foot in the stirrup and she turned into a bucking bronco. Bucked so much and so hard that she got Andre off.... and Andre never ever falls off. Never. So he gets up and ties her to let her sort herself out. She goes pulling on the rope for so long that now she's got rubs around her ears and on her neck.
So when I was up on wednesday, she wont let anyone put a halter on her head (you have to put it around her neck- thank god she is good on the lead) and her neck was all tense and sore.
I gave her a really good grooming and massaged her neck to relax the muscles. I'm kind of rotted that she had such a bad first ride. Now I have to go back ten steps to getting the trust again so she'll let me poke around her face and ears. I'm a little nervous for when Andre starts riding her again next week (this week is Gazella's last one).
Hopefully things will go well.
Other then that, nothing is new...

O Gill thats heart breaking. Theres nothing worst then putting all your time into a horse and then someone coming along and setting them back ten steps. Do you think Cativa maybe so use to you being the only on riding and working with her she choose to not accept anyone else? Kazz was the same way Ming tried to groom him one day and the little guy got so upset her broke his halter! Obviously Andre is a very experienced trainer and I'm sure he wouldn't do anything to hurt your girl I'm sure shes just kicking up a stink because she thinks she can *mares! <3* Keep us up to date |

Sarah- I'm fairly certain it was a combination of not being ridden in ages, and being so fussy that she doesnt want Andre. She is pretty attached to me and doesnt really put up with anyone else doing anything with her.... so I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up being a one person horse! She is such a diva!

I've seen Cativa a few times since I updated last.
She has had another couple nights with Andre. He is sacking her out (starting as though she was a completely unbroke horse) and she is not taking to kindly to it. Her neck is swollen from pulling on the tie down, and her back legs are a little sore from the hobbles. She has a weird rub on her chest and I'm not sure what it is from.
Cativa is very sooky. She has been following my every move and now whinnies as soon as I walk away from her. She didn't want to come in today ... I think she is afraid of Andre coming. I am her safety blanket, whenever I go out of sight she gets upset.
I groomed her in her stall and she was a darling. Picked three of four feet (She didnt want to give me the last one and I wasn't too concerned about it).
Andre may have been up this afternoon after we left and worked with her. Maybe tomorrow too, I don't know.
Cativa got her new lavendar plaid spring sheet yesterday. It looks beautiful on her! I forgot to take pictures but I will try and do so tomorrow. Cativa is so cute ♥

Well now sounds like a little mare is giving that cowboy a ride! Maybe soon she'll realize that hes not there to hurt her and the only damage thats happening to her is actauly caused by herself. Ooo Mares!
I pretty much willing to bet Andre didn't have half the troble with Enzo!

Now where did you find such a sweet set of halter and lead line?? Thats a very sweet picture Diva has some pretty big ears for a little girl, I'm sure she'll grow into them |
