Seen the pony a couple days ago.
Didn't do anything with her, just a visit that's all. It was too icy anyways. Hoping to get in again soon, and hopefully go for a short ride or something I'll get pics as well. That's if you want them haha

Well, my post goes a little like Lacey's
Went to the barn, and it was too icy to do much at all. Just helped bring the ponies in.

Wow.

What a day.
Me and Lacey headed to the barn. The roads were crap, but we made it. We went out to get the horses, and then Skipper decided to be an ass and bite Tyra, so I told Tyra not to make a fuss, and she left him alone. While I was un-doing the latch on the gate, Skipper AGAIN bit Tyra and this time she turned around, hauled off and kicked him. He's fine. But then he turned around and went to kirk Tyra, and almost got me. What a jerk

Anywho, when we got in the barn, Tyra was being a retard, and being all cranky. NOT a good day, so far.

Then we went to Ashley's place to see if I could use her new saddle, but she said there was no girth around that would fit, so she needs to buy one. I seen her new baby, and her pony, and went back to the barn.

I decided to let Tyra out in the arena to let her play around. She only trotted over to the nearest spot where grass was visible.

Then I put her back. Comtemplated riding Lugo, but said screw it, and Lacey un-tacked Sugar and we put them all back.

Then we hauled our butts over to Kathies, and watched Baliee get shoed. Talked to Sarah for a bit, seen Heather, and Donnnna and then we left.

Got on the highway, and the roads seemed a bit better. We stopped at Timmy's, got some food and hot chocolate, and we were on our way again. Home home home....

....but. Here comes this DIRTY big 'ole transport truck, and so Lacey slowed down. We were going, what, 65?
She moved over closer to the shoulder of the road so the transport truck wouldn't KILL us, and the transport truck splashed us, Lace couldn't see, the rear tires caught on the slush, and the car starts going sideways up the highway.
Good thing we live in the sticks, cause there were no other cars coming. If there had been, I wouldn't be here right now. Anywho, the car goes right out into the ditch, and the f***er in the transport truck didn't even stop.
But there were some really nice people who DID stop, and ask if we were okay, and such. Offered a ride, and Sherry (our cafeteria lady stopped and let us sit in her van (in the warmness
Lacey's dad came, and he brought me home.

Anywho. Sooo .. went to the barn again today.. Took muh friend Nathan with me. Muahaha.
So anywho, pretty sure I've got HIM into horses now .. HAHAHA.
Went and got the pony, and took her in the barn. Groomed her, and put her pretty new white polos on her. She looked so hunter-y. Loved it. Anywho, I didn't really plan on riding her, but when I took her out in the arena to let her run around, I decided It would be fun to hop on and run around on her. hehe.
sooo . I went and got her bareback pad and her bridle, and hopped on. It was fun indeed ^_^
We tried to make a path for Ashley to ride Lugo, but we ended up going all over the place and being retarded instead. Nathan was watching, and he looked cold (poor thing) so I gave him my coat. Haha, it's kinda funny cause he's watching me write this.

Yeah, so after Trish and Ashley brought in all the ponies, I 'un-tacked' Tyra, and put her away for the night.

Today was an awesome day at the barn.
My boyfriend brought me and Lacey into the barn, and there, we met up with Ashley!
The three of us got the ponies out, and went for a great ride in the arena.

I first takced up Tyra, and lunged her to get some of her energy out, because I find she always works best after a good lunge.
Then Lacey&Sugar, and Ashley&Lugo came into the arena, and I hopped on Tyra.
We had an awesome ride. We didn't do much because of the snow, but she got quite the work out.

I also tried Ashley's new saddle on Tyra, and it fits!!! It's an extra, extra large. Haha.
Just waiting for an extension for the 52" girth.

She's a little hard in the mouth. Anyone have an suggestions as to how I can soften it up?

I've got pics, and i'll post the ones of me and Tyra(if Lacey doesn't post them), and i'll let Lacey post the rest.

Woo! I had such an amazing day at the barn - it was the sex.
Deffinatly great having Ashley to ride with too! (She loves the company)

If you read Sugars training log, then I guess you already know that Lacey, Ashley, and I went riding again today!

I finally got a SADDLE on her, and it was soo much better. Tyra and I worked on walk - halt - walk transitions, and she improved greatly after the first 4 or 5 times.
We also did some walk - trot - walk transitions, and she didn't even break her trot. She felt balenced, and it was great! I believe she worked up a small sweat on her chest, but nothing serious.
It was hard to do too much work, because of the ice under the snow. She slipped a couple times too.
Lacey's foot rubbed against one of the letters, and all three of the horses spooked (thanks Lacey) but that was okay. And Tyra had a spazz attack for a couple seconds out of no where too. Bucked a few times, and almost smashed me into the fence, but we were fine.

After our nice ride, we went for a short trail ride through the beautiful snow, and they were very well behaved I must say.
