So I worked today; no ride. But in one of the lessons only one kid showed up, so I lunged her, and showed her how-to. She was only pretty young, but it was her first time troting by herself, and I told her that by lunging him, she was helping to train him! She was delighted!
Champ was excelent as usual, but where's the camera when you need it?! Earlier in the morning, someone put on his halter, but his forlock stuck straight up! He looked like he had a mohawk!

Went for a lease ride today after school. I gave him a quick grooming and tacked up. After warming up, we worked on walk/canter transitions. In his not-so-great direction, he was really good, which I was proud of. But on his good side, when ever I'd ask for one, he'd let out 2 or 3 huge bucks!
After doing one without any bucks, I popped him over a tiny X-rail and cooled out.

Thanks! Not bad, it was really small. Sorry I didn't update for a while, I haven't gotten around to it. Last lesson on Thursday we worked on shifting weight. We did a broken line with poles then F-X-H. He was great, considering he doesn't work on it much. After a while, we set the poles up to jumps. The last one we did, he did a flying over the jump so we cooled out at that! I was so proud! While cooling out, Ange told me that in 6 months we were going to do the same excersize to see how much he improved, so I'm "offically" training him!

Kelly, we're terrible at updating this! I found it on the second page! Ahah I rode today, He was excelent! I used my new bridle and bit; he was a lot more responsive. I think he likes it more than his gross roller-cherry-Dr. Bristol-ish thing So we're 100% that we're going to the Dressage Show at Clovelly, so I'm just trying to get the both of us back into shape. We worked on bending and flexion. He's getting a lot better at it, too! To cool out, we went to the driveway-thing across the road. I thought he would like it over there, but he wanted to go back the whole time. So I walked him around it, then brought him back to Equine. He is shedding now, or course, so I gave him a spa day when we got inside!
