Thanks Adam!

I rode again today. He was really good for the first half, but then he got crooked and lazy and every couple strides would be yet another buck. After he knew mom would beat his bum, he kept breaking from a trot to a canter. After that, we cooled out bareback.

After a coolout, I took off his bridle to let him roll, but god forbid! I think he knows what daya I'm coming, so he'll roll and be nice and dirty

4 weeks and 4 days till show season starts(at clovelly) ! ahhh! so excited!

I had the best ride on Champ today! We were out for about 2 hours! First I spent a long time grooming him and being buddies and then we tacked up in our HDR gear for an hour of jumping!

We had a line of verticals (2 jumps with 3 canter strides in between) set up on the long side. The highest was about 2 feet I guess? Then a small vertical on the diagnol about 1 foot 6 inches, and a pylon height vertical on the other long side. He was loving the jumping today, and I was loving the HDR, with it's forward seat that helps me out over jumps. I was practicing getting back in the saddle between jumps on a line, and he was very good.

After about an hour of ring work, we wandered over to the field across the road and trotted up and down the side several times. No galloping- the ground is very spongey and sucks his feet in. Then we hacked- YES! Our first HACK!- down Heavy Tree Road until we got to the highway and then came back. Obviously there have been a million trail rides, but this was our first time out in our english gear.

After another nice grooming I went to ride Prancer. I posted it in her log.

Awwww way to make me homesick! You guys look GREAT together! I might suggest you pull your stirrups up a hole more for jumping? You still look really good though! Got any more pics? No one ever sends me new pics from Equine anymore

wow Emily, I never thought I'd see a pic of a dog on Champ! HE HATES DOGS! I guess he doesn't mind yours too much, but once he almost trampled this Husky to death when it ran at him. Maybe he likes cute furry things??

Nope, he minds them, too About a month ago, I took my dog into his paddock to let him smell her, and he tryed to take her nose off! He was crooked for the rest of the day, and my dog is now afraid of horses
