Yay, I rode my pony today again but this time in the HDR not bareback. He was a jerk, kicking at Max(who he hates, for some reason) but then he was also ridden three times today. I'm still sore in my belly from the ulcers, so I am taking it easy, it seems that suckin in my stomach when I am halting hurts me a lot.
We did some walk, trot, and a little bit of canter. There was actually one loop around the ring that felt great at the right lead canter, it was beautiful! I'm so proud of my boy, though, and glad that I got him.
Emily, you should post your rides in here too!

I rode today for about 10 minutes. I honstly couldn't move my hands! I used Maria's bareback pad. For the little while we rode, he was a babe! I'm riding again Tuesday, so I'll post again then.

I rode last night with Deanne and Maria after Jessica Q' had ridden him in her lesson. I figured he would be tired after 45 minute jumping lesson, but aside from his usual crankiness he was a bundle of energy! I hi-jacked the lesson, and we did some practice going over jumps. First Ange set up a small cross rail, then a "huge" vertical about 1'6", lol. He jumps them fine, bt he dives at them! Angela recomended that if I take him in a jumping class this year at all that it be Hopeful jumper, not Hunter or Eq. So Hopeful Jumper, here we come!!

I rode him on Friday. It started off pretty bad. I was sure I would spend the whole time telling him "NO!! DON'T BUCK!! After he smartened up a bit, he was very energetic! After a while we started jumping a crossrail. He was perfect! Then we had a nice long cool-out bareback.

Well I gave him a Lickit on Friday, and I went to the barn today, only to find the lickit gone and blue crusty stuff on his lips! That's all that that was left of my 7.99$ When I rode, He was so hyper! It was a great ride, though!

I rode again today. I gave him a really good grooming, getting every speck of dust off him. I used some of Mel's tricks that she uses on Prancer. They work really well! I rode in my new spurs, he didn't like them, but he was way better than ever. He was really forward. It was great! Then I started a nice canter and poped over a verticle. One time he hit a long spot, but he still jumped really nicely. While I was going posting trot, I noticed my leg was burning like hell! I looked down, only to find a PERFECTLY STILL LEG!! Something I had such a hard time getting, I finally got! After about half the ride, Bueno came into the ring for a lesson. He wasn't as good then, but when my mom came to take some pictures, he acted a little nicer. Got some great shots, though! I'll post them when they get developed.

It's way better that leasing from a school! I rode on Sunday, and he was trying really hard to please me, but he is really lazy and outta shape My mom came out to take some pictures, and he was such a stud He looked really good in all of them, and in one, he pushed hisself into a frame! I'm really working hard to get him moving forward without having to be told, and told and told, and you get my point He isn't bucking much anymore, either!
