Gill, no, it's Erica Drake, she leases Sheriff owned by Donna Marshall And here's a little update on Vaquero! We have a new farrier! Mrs. Katrina Butler, so happy to have her, Vaquero and I think she is amazing! Today I went up and just lunged him, getting him used to the new cut Katrina gave him. He was excellent, was listening very well, but also a bit lazy with his trot starting off. His trainsition where great, do need a bit of work picking up our lope right away though, instead of trotting 1 or 2 strides, but we'll work on that! Afterwards we just played around, I got out his massive ball for him to play with. We also worked with the sawdust bags, which he can be a dork around, but is now finally wearing them, and stepping on them, so we're getting better.... next is the tarp! I then let him play around while I cleaned out his stall, cleaned his water buckets, and give him his treats in his feeder. Then I put on his blanket, and after lots of kisses, sent him off to bed! He's excellent though, still as sexy as ever, even with his winter coat. We've started lessons again with Rhonda, has one the past Saturday, worked on our neck rein, and also that left lead of ours. We finally have that! We've come such a long way in 6 months. I love my boy so much! Well this is how we are, still chilling out as usual. Take care guys  ! Love Danielle and Vaquero <3 |

haha oh well, no harm done OT again but does Erica Stone still have molly/ have her at AEC? Vaquero sounds like he is doing SO well. I'm gonna have to round up some girls (michelle, joan, biz, others???) and come out for a visit when I'm home!!! He's such a handsome man! |

Thanks for all the comments guys!
Vaquero is going great though! Went up tonight to check on him seeing as it was so cold out, and wanted to make sure his blanket was on him, which it was! Since I was up, I took him out and did some lunging. Our transitions where MUCH better! I then took him off the lunge line and did a bit of free lunging, which was okay, need a bit of work on transitions of the line, but we'll work on it! I then let him just fool around a bit while I cleaned out his stall. I then grabbed my helmet, two lead ropes and hopped on him bareback! He was excellent, did a bit of walk/jog and got off. Aha, I slide off his bum to get off, which is pretty good for Vaquero, seeing as a few months ago he probably would of kicked me, so that was great. I then cleaned both his water buckets and sent him off to bed!
I have some pictures of him playing in the snow with Kitt, so I'll post them soon. I'll also get pics of me riding him under saddle the weekend! Well this is how V-mann and I are doing! Take care you guys!
