aww! Thanks Victoria, I hope he was clean Sometimes where not very fit for guests, because we love the mud !! Today's Ride: Today I had a private lesson with Jim Durling. We worked on getting Vaquero to give to the bridle. We also worked on our left lead again, and we got it down pat!! We worked on the small circles during our gaits. When Vaquero did something wrong, I.E. - sped up, hawled on the bridel, etc. I spun him into a small tight circle, then when we got back out to the rail, Jim said to release fully, and show him "Okay, this is what I told you to do, now you do it"! Also, we worked on getting in our corners. Jim also said "Expect him to go into the corner, but don't force him. We want to make it nice for him so he'll want to go in the corner"! The ride was wicked!! Jim Durling, like I said before, is AMAZING!! He really helped Vaquero and I these past 3 rides! Vaquero and I can't wait for the weekend! We're so excited ! 5 days guys !! Danielle and Vaquero <3!!

Thank you guys ! Vaquero had the whole week off this week! I went up on Tuesday and tonight, just graze and groom ! He LOVES his grazing! He's SO fat!! Hehe, I love my fat boy I took him down to the blueberry patch behind the barn, whre the grass is up to our knees, and he was like, OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE!! So he gets all excited when we walk down the driveway towards the hidden field, because he knows EXACTLY where we're going ! It's so cute!! He also eats all the blueberrys off the patch's!! It's cute! Then we just groomed, and then went to our stall to find all our treats in our bucket He loves his treaties !! Then I said goodnight, gave him lots of goodnight kisses, and left !! It was so hard to leave with that cute little face just looking at you, like saying "where you going mom ??" I had to go back at least 5 times to give him kisses, and he kept just looking at me everytime I went to walk away, it was so cute!! Well this is how the champ is! Now that the NEA is over, we'll just be chilling the rest of the year, and just riding for fun, and not to get ready for shows! The whole winter we'll just work on the bonding, and REALLY getting to know eachother. Did you know I've owned him 3 months, since Sept,26! Wow, it feels like I've owned him forever! He's changed so much in these past 3 months! We have a bright and early lesson tomorrow morning at 8:30, so we both gotta hit the sack! Haha, well here's a little update on Vaquero-mero and me! We'll have pictures of the show up soon See ya! Danielle and Vaquero <3!

Vaquero and I are still chilaxin from the show. We had a lesson on Saturday: The weather was bad, so we had 2 oe 3 freak attacks Hehe, he's so cute ! In our lesson with Rhonda, we mostly worked on our transitions on a circle, and our loping - i.e. leads! We then groomed, did a bit of grazing, then I had to leave pretty early seeing I had work. Sunday: We just chillaxed the whole day! Groomed, grazed for at least 2 hours in total, and also started a bit of parelli, that Wanda and Kitt showed us! It was a lot of fun! We're hoping to do a bit more soon, also, I'm reading a book called "Horse-Man-Ship" by Pat Parelli, a book that Jim Durling recomended to me! It's great, and it talks about bonding with your horse, and learning the horse language. So Vaquero and I are mostly just going to be bonding the whole winter, and not really concentrating on anything else. Well this is how Vaquero is doing. I'm hoping to go up tomorrow after soccer to have a light ride. I'll update you later, and hopefully with pictures of the show! Danielle and Vaquero <3

What a good day we had today! Mostly a relazing day! We mostly just worked on our the little Parelli we know (Wanda brought us up our new sexy rope halter for us to borrow, thanks Wanda ). Wanda is really helping Vaquero and I with this Parelli. It's amazing! I'm hoping after christmas to actually start the levels. The goal I want to accomplish with Vaquero is to have that ultimate bond. So we worked on our Parelli, grazed a lot, and rode. In our ride, we worked on ground work (turn on the haunches, back up, etc) Also our pleasure jog, and our leads. Our left lead is starting to come around now, and we're also not anticipating anymore. After our ride we just chilled out, I groomed him, and put him in his stall for the night. I love my horse so much! I promise I'll have our show pictures up by tomorrow, hehehe!! Vaquero is doing good. Our little bit of Parelli is really comming along. I'm planning to get Level 1 starting kit for christmas! Last night we just worked on our Parelli, and groomed. I pretty much just went up to see him last night. We had our treats, then went to bed. We have an early morning lesson with Rhonda tomorrow We're excited for that! Well I'll keep you updated after the lesson. Danielle and Vaquero <3

Wow... I haven't updated this in a while... I'm such a bad mom, hehehe! Well... Vaquero is doing great! Getting fatter and fatter. We just had our show the past weekend, ugh, what horrible weather In the end we got a 2nd, 3d, 4th, and 5th. He was a lunitic.. he's a HUMONGOUS loser, and trys to dance between the droplets... hahaha!BUT... we got our leads, so in my eyes, he won it all just like that!! I love him to death! We had our private lesson tonight with Rhonda. Just to add in, Rhonda Fiander is AMAZING!!! We warmed up with walking around, doing a lot of circling at the walk and jog, he was crossing over great in the front. We then went on to working on our turn on the haunches, and then started the beginning of learning our spins! Well Vaquero already know them, I just need to learn them! We then worked on upward and downward transitions. He was great!! We then worked on side passing, and really getting Vaquero to work off my leg. We had a bit of difficulty and confusion in the beginning, but after he was amazing! Afterwards, we worked on our halts and back ups, a bit more transitions, and a nice pleasure, consistant jog. I then cooled him out, dimounted, groomed, and gave him lot of treats and hugs and kisses!! I love him so much!! Well this is how we're doing!! We're really moving alone well now having Rhonda as our coach!! I've owned Vaquero for 4 months now!! Can't wait to see you all at the NEA Banquet!! Ooh.. and HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE !! Danielle and Vaquero <3
