We rode again today!!... First of all... we groomed (of course) and tryed on his new trailer halter for the NEA  It look spectacular!! His tempermant is getting so much better, all he does now is shake his head when we groom, he's great! We're finally starting to get out of the shaking the head, because it DRIVES ME UP THE WALL!! When we rode, we warmed up with our usual ground work, then went into our jog, which was REALLY racey today, and our lope was bonkers  I think it's the weather, because he's never like this, our "racey" lope is maybe once around the arena, but our whole ride was full of FLAT out at whatever gait we where at. He's deffinitly sensing the weather we're about to recive, and a lot of our horses where acting up to. So we really just worked on our transitions, and collection, seeing he was out of it today. Then we had our talk (haha, i have HUMONGOUS conversations with him!!) about no matter how good we do in the NEA, he's still gona be Number 1 in my eyes. We're just gonna go in with our ears forward, and big smiles on our faces, and we're gonna leave like that too, with our without ribbons!! Then we cooled down with a lot of circles/straight lines, and of course lotas of hugs and kisses, then he just followed me down to the barn, I wasn't holding on to him at all!! He's also starting to coem to me in the field! God do I ever Love my horse!! We can't wait to see you guys at the NEA, only a week and 4 days away !! WOOT! Danielle and Vaquero |

I'll have it there for you! it can kind of be like, wow, our first show (Nevermind all the ribbons you Will get) you'll have a picture to remember your first show together!

Oh my god!! Our ride was FAB-U-LOUS today!! We're all ready for the NEA ! We started off with out regular warm up! I.E. -- Back up, turn on the haunches, leg yielding, side pasing, and other ground work. Then we went into working on our Pleasure, had AMAZING transtitions! And after he gave me a BEAUTIFULtransition from the lope to a walk, we stoped, and cooled out! I only rode him for like 20 mins, but he was just so good, I didn't want to push it anymore! Then I let my friend cool him down for fun, haha, she loves him!! <3! I love my horse so much, he was amazing!! 10 days till the NEA, we're so physced!! Can't wait to see everyone, woot!! JIM DURLING CLINIC  !! Saturday: Wow, what a privlege!! Vaquero and I where in the Jim Durling clinic the weekend! Vaquero was fab-u-lous! On Saturday, we did a lot of bending with collecting, getting our horses to listen to us. Then we talked a lot, and Jim really explained a lot of things to us. I.E. it's not a good idea to be riding on the rail. Then we learned how to TWO TRACK !! It was SO cool. Hahaha, Vaquero and I looked like turds We weren't that good at it, but in the end we where really good. We then cooled out, I groomed him, and then went down to ABC stables too watch the rest of the clinics. Afterwards, we all had jigs dinner at Barb's house. Sunday: Today, we warmed up like usual in our other lesson. Then we started off with our two tracking. Jim had us put on a running marten gail (sp) so Vaquero would stop tossing his head up. GOD!! Vaquero was doing his nightly homework He was AMAZING with the two tracking, he was doing it like a pro. Then we started on our problem, the left lead! Jim had us two tracking to the left the whole last lesson, to get us ready for this. He said I had to get Vaquero to listen to just one leg. We now pick up our left lead on a dime. Jim Durling is AMAZING!! Afterwards, I mostly spent the day with Vaquero. We groomed a lot, grazed, practised Showmanship/Halter. We also rode bareback. I love my horse, he's wicked! Can't wait for the NEA, 7 DAYS !! We'll see you then guys Danielle and Vaquero <3 PS: Sorry about the quick review of the clinic, but I have homework!! I'll try to add to it later on! |

Hey, i saw your pony today when me and lori went to go trailer Jake to clovelly for Sylvia for the NTV review of the NEA show. I went over to see him and i said hey to him and all that stuff. Your pony's hot.
