s'pose i could start one for the boob

little about prince.
he's just turned 14 on july 16th, he's a STB cross standing at 15.2hh. I leased him from january to april, and beginning of may my parents bought him for me

When I first started leasing him this horse basicly didnt know what a person on it's back was. he was SOO unbalanced, couldn't walk a straight line, or do anything close to a circle for that matter, fell in every 2 steps, ect. we did ALOT of walk work for the first 2 months basicly and a tiny bit of trot.
sence i've leased him i worked him back up to a balanced walk (although if your new to riding him, he'll test you and try and fall in to see what you will let him get away with), trot, canter needs some more work but his transitions have come a longg way!

he hurt his shoulder super bad about a month ago , but thankfully now the boob is back in the swing of things right now we're building back muscle by doing lots of hill work , and we're doing many trail rides and a few gallops here and there to get him ready for the CTR i think he's going to love it sence he's not a huge fan of ring work

yesterday danielle and myself went on a long hack kind of by the dump, it was excellent sence it had a whole bunch of different footing and none bothered him what so ever. lots and lots of hills his bumm is getting nicely tonned up already

today Marsha, Danielle and me went on a super long hack. i think it wasl ike 5 hours? it was crazy LOTS of hill work to day, it was intense. haha. he loved it and still had energy to spare he was amazing none the less. can't wait for the CTR

haha accually no i don't! i always thought it was just because he was just being such a pain that all of a sudden she called him boob.. haha

I was volunteering at the Cloverdale summer camps when she got him. I'm not sure if he still has them, but when he would stand still in cross-ties his chest would look like... well, let's say voluptuous! ;D

long time no update!

Today i got to the barn and my new cooler and polos where in so i go to the field to grab my boy. he whinned and trotted to me after i called to him. that alone made my day!

I wasn't exspecting anything spectacular today, sence he's still in the 'working back up' mode. but he was amazing

We did walk/trot/canter both reins amazzingly! nose tilted to the inside the whole time (not asking anymore of him then that for now) and was just.. fabulous!

I had a raised crossrail (not even on the last hole.. just on the standard support ) and samething only vertical on the 3 stride line. popped him over it twice at the trot to see what he would do, and he was loving it! so i picked up my canter and threw him over it twice, he was loving it! ears pinned back chasing towards it lovvvvingg it! he was too sweet and had a verrryyy long cool out with lots of pats

i was so proud of him today, i'm pretty sure i haven't stopped smiling sence i got home.

nice to have one of thoughs days when they remind you how fabulous they can be

Today did the same thing as yesterday basicly. only i set up a grid instead to get him off his forhand more. he fell on his face a few times won't lie after the second time or so he decided that he remembered that he had a butt and was going to use it. we'll be focusing more on our flat work to get him working off his hind end more so and get thoughs canter transitions a bit more nicer

prince threw a shoe on wensday night, got it put back on thursday, and then threw another one on saturday! > : ( so he had a good 6 days off when he got his feet all redone on monday but sence then we've only been longing because of the not so nice weather, but his canter is basicly allmostt prefected to a tee and he's really starting to use his hind end again thanks to double lining!

Prince was a super star today

we did w/t/c, his canter transitions where just fabulous today. a little sloppy to the left at first, but we got some beautiful ones after that so i left it at that concidering i haven't ridden him in so long we're starting to get to the point that we can start doing more advanced stuff then besides basic's. i'm so proud! can't believe it was just this january, that he didn't even know the meaning of walking and to come this far in so short (well, concidering he had a few months off because of him being lame) just feels.. amazing if he's awsome again tomorrow, i think i'm going to see how well he does with leg yeilds and work on that for the next while

Rode bareback today because i really wanted to work on my balance.
...and was too lazy to tack up (hey, it was freezing!)

we warmed up walk; and did alot of trot rising and sitting. then some canter. i really didn't care for the transitions i was just having fun.

and as did prince!
comming out of one of the corners he SUNDIVING! hahahaha.
yes.. my prince! the one and only dumbfoundede prince SUNDIVING!
i couldn't do anything but laugh.
i was soooo happy to see him having a bit of fun with it
love my horse!

after our sundiving feiasco i cantered around the arena sensibily a few laps and finished it at that he was just.. super pony! made me the happyest girl in the world to see him having a little fun and letting go. too sweet

freeschooled him today.

today he let out a BIG buck! which is weird because like mentioned before prince never ever bucks. but twice in one week.. is he just feeling youthful or is something really bothering him? so now i'm a bit paranoid.

We had three of the great danes out tonight playing in the arena. i randomly decided to ride prince bareback with his halter on and he was chasing the pups it was adorible. he exspecially liked moses.. guess he has a thing for the big ones. first bella his 17hh girlfriend and now the biggest great dane in life too cute.
