Jess freeschooled prince last sunday, said the boy let out a few good airborne bucks, he was sore the next day so he must of just over exurted himself not knowing what an old man can do anymore he had the whole week off.

friday was an epic adventure- the move to clovelly
he was a star walking over, very curious to everything.
i threw him in the indoor to see what he would do. he just plopped down and rolled then walked straight to the mirror, by which is his new best friend he stood there looking at himself for a good 10-15 minutes
put him in his new stall (him and jackman get along super well ) no more worrying about him kicking down a stall wall or getting a shoe caught on a back board so glad about that. i think he really enjoys having a corner stall

yesterday i came down, Jess put him in a single for now (till we figured out what feild he was going in) i went up to get him in the field, he called out 3 times and power walked over to the gate he's such a momma's boy!

groomed.. tacked up with the new sheepskin half pad incase he wasn't still off.
took him out to longe for a couple minutes and thankfully he wasn't off!
so i ran inside and grabbed my gear and off to the indoor we went.

we had one of the best rides of our lives in that arena!
whatttt a difference the half pad and soft footing has made to him! like wow
he always does this 'hop' thing.. he did it ONCE at the beginning and that was that! it was awsome.

we didn't work on any framing work today sence it was his first ride back and all. just long and low for the most part his circles where pretty bad.. but again first ride back and don't want to strain his shoulder too much!
we just did alot of walk trot stuff.. and went around the arena twice in canter. and again.. WOW what a difference with his transitions! we didn't have any rushing.. no nothing just BAM canter! . i was worryed where the indoor is much smaller then cloverdales outdoor that he wouldnt be able to do his transitions as nicely (I.E.. recap of the clovelly spring schooling show ) but they where dead on so proud of my boy!!
nice longggg cool out and went in. all the horses where comming in so just threw him back in his stall and put his blanket back on.

he's so in love with the new barn i haven't seen his eyes so bright in a long time. makes me so happy to see that look in his face

can't make it down till thursday (working till close.. booedge) and i have an exam on monday.. so i'll probibly be at the barn.. but LIVING in the lounge till i have the text book memorized hopefully pony will be sound next time i'm down

his auntie nat looked after him today for me so he's pretty content without me poking at him for one day his leaser should be up tomorrow so hopefully she'll update me

Took prince out tonight
Hopped on and did walk and trot.. nothing strainious.. he was soo swety by the end of it. couldn't believe how out of shape he is
we have a leather side pull ordered, hopefully that'll be in on monday love going back to basics!

what did i get myself into?

Went to co-op first to pick up a dewarmer and some other stuff (have a baby blue winter blankie ordered for him ) then headed to the barn.

I get to the barn and some of the horses are in
Alicia tells me my horse is a nut case.
apperently the devious duo (tango and prince.. they're attached to the hip) broke loose.
tango just ran to his stall
but no.. prince went off BUCKING and running/ sliding around like an idiot.. and to INCLUDE KICKING the old trailor..
oh buddy..
what a terd!! i don't understand where all this energy is comming from..
thankfully shannyn the babe that she is looked him over and there was no swelling and heat.
like.. seriously horse?
seriously.

just took him out, long lined him and he was pretty good concidering i haven't done long lining with him sence middle of summer deffintly start doing more of that!

nat came down and we turned the boys out in the indoor..
our horses are so boring
they just stood there sniffing eachother.. then they walked around and that was that..
BORING!! Haha.. i love watching horses play with eachother. but glad he's making so many friends he used to be such a loner at cloverdale.. haha but he's like the pretty new boy in town

he's a 2 year old stuck in a 14/15 year old body! him and jazz must have switched bodies

took the boy out today.
just threw his western bridle on and went for a bareback ride
we worked on flextion both ways to get him loosened up in his shoulders. he was really good.. a bit stiff on the left rein i htink it was? but he's a good boy. by the end of the ride we had a very loose western rein! if there was a walk western class.. he would totally own it

So i'm convinced that my horse has come out of the closet.
him and tango are IN LOVE.. inseperable! they're the new sarge and duke haha.

We OFFICALLY changed his show name to 'Code Blue'. it came out of NO WHERES (basicly how i function ) and told his leaser and we both agreed on it i like it because well.. it has blue in it and seems suiting because he always seems to put me in a code blue atleast once a week i love how it suites him!

Just took blue out and played with him.
groomed him, gave him a few good stretchings, loosend his shoulder up, and walked him around the arena. played the parelli yo-yo game with him. got him to start rocking back on his hind end to practise laying down in the long run. did more stretches and loosening up his shoulder then brought him in.
i decided just for fun to practise my stable bandaging again, never hurts to practise! he stood like a gentlemen, sommee boyyy.

have to work for the next 2 weeks straight pretty much (had 2 or 3 weekends off.. now they'll kick me in the butt ) so seing blue will be limited.. he'll enjoy just being a horse for sure though!

Prince got his shoes off today he's back to au' natural barefoot

threw him out in the arena to let some beans out. he was so cute. he was tossing his head around and did a buck without leaving the ground . too cute.

did tonnes of stretches with the boy again to loosen him up
again played the yo-yo game.. he's getting pretty good at it i just need to look at him and he'll pretty much back up. yay.
brushed and loved the boy.. he's deffinitly living the good life
i think this winter i'm just going to just bring everything back to basics and just stick with ground work. think it would be a fun challange to see how long i can go without riding. and it'll be fun to play some games and prefect all thoughs tiny defects

i have a side pull, french link loose ring, and a lickit ball on the way for him for christmas
he also told me for christmas he wants lucas's blanket
