You had and excelent lesson! You'll have a private lesson next week, Emma won't be there. Maybe we'll try canter without stirrups, too! Ange is getting me the Rider Level Books, so we'll work on the inbarn stuff, too.

Without sturripus is hard at first...dont rush into the canter part to quickly!

haha yeah.. i wont canter too much.. just probley on the side of the arena so no turns.. thats what i found the hardest !

i just had my lesson and i rode dante it was a good lesson. We warmed up in the big arena and then moved into the small one because the big one was too muddy. Then i trotted abit and then i crossed over my stirrups and did some more trot without stirrups. Sitting and posting. Then i took my stirrups down and did some canter And eventually while i was cantering i dropped my stirrups ! . Then we practiced going over the pole in 2-point, walk then trot and then we cooled out around the ponds . It was a very fun lesson ! p.s. pictures will soon be up in picture place |

Sounds like a good lesson. I love doing no stirrup work, it's wicked if you want to improve your seat and over all postion |

Okay so i just had my lesson and it was alright. We got out late so it was shorter then usual and the arena was a mess.. plus it was half raining haha Anyway, i rode Brandy and he was being a bumm We warmed up and then we practiced 2-point over poles (walk and trot) for the rest of it, then we cooled out bareback. |

Okay so i had my lesson earlier today and it was good ! i got there around 12 and found out i was riding Dante so i brought him in and got him ready.. while i was grooming Ange came over and while we were talking she found a lump on Dante's back.. she said it would be fine for my ride and when i brought him in try to massage it out.. anyway.. in my lesson we warmed up and then trotted large for awhile did 3 and 2-loop serpintines at a walk and then taking turns we trotted them.. then cooled out with a game of red light green light. When i went back to the barn i brushed Dante and picked out his feet and started to massage his lump.. only to find 4 more ! So it took me about a half an hour to get most of them out but two of them would absolutely not come out.. i got them alot smaller but they were still there. Then i brought Dante out to him out to his paddock where he showed his appriciation of me massaging his back for half an hour by giving 3 big bucks and booting me in the leg  .. fun fun p.s. my boots came in so i got to wear by boots and breeches today ! |
