Last night I had a GREAT ride! Rudy pulled a bit coming in from his field, but after we got past the grassy bits he was fine. I wasn't going to ride because I have a cold, but I got on anyway . I rode around the indoor a bit, and then we headed out to the outdoor. He was very good! Then Donna helped me set up some poles for me to go over, and then we started trotting. He was nice and forward, but not too hyper. I rode around with Rebecca and Karel for a bit, and then I started cantering! He was wonderful, picked up the right lead everytime! We went around the arena cantering few times, and then we had a little walk break. Then we cantered over a pole! He was wicked, I was so proud of my boy! After we did that for a bit, I got on him bareback and cooled him out. Then I turned him out in his field and gave him some hay and chilled out for a bit!

aww rudyikins love that pony! lol i used to ride him all the time when i was like, 4 and he was like, .. ... a youngling. hhaa but i miss him! hes such a cute little thing.

Really Sarah? That's wicked!

Last night I had an incredible ride, I was super grumpy because I was thirsty, but I got on and rode around the indoor to warm him up, and then I headed out to the outdoor. He spooked at a bird flying across the bridge, but we got through it. Once we got to the outdoor, we started our trot. Dad set up a little "jump" thing, so we trotted over it a few times. He was awesome! I trotted around the arena a few times, just to make sure he was nice and warmed up, and then we started our canter! He was a bit hyper, but it was fine. We went around the arena a few times, and then we took a walk break. When I cantered through the pilons, Rudy thought it was an invisible jump, and jumped it. I got bounced out of my saddle, but I stayed on! I also got a video of it, haha. After that, we jumped the itty bitty baby jump! He cantered towards it and then trotted over it a few times, but finally he cantered over it! I even managed to stay in two-point position! Then I went back to the indoor and cooled him out. I gave him lots of treats, and put him back in his field!

Gahh, horrible ride today!
Rudy was very, very LAZY when I started, and then after Clay left the arena, we started trotting. He tried to take off a LOT, and I was getting really po-ed, but I asked him to canter, and he kept cantering, and stopping. It was really frustrating! Then I trotted over a pole, and he FLEW over it, and I was not expecting it at all. Of course, I landed on his neck, while he wouldn't stop. Luckily I stayed on him though. After a few more attenpts to get a normal canter, or even trot, I gave up and brought him back in. Hopefully tomorrow he will be better.

Don't get discouraged, because like Ashley said, they have their bad days too. After all, it was only one ride! You're doing a great job with him!

hahah, emily(^) knows. trust me! she rides champ..ok? its champ, you have to be like that to ride champ, or else you'll hate him.. like. REALLY hate him jokes
Hes ALOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT better though. like AMAZINGLY better. hes being such a doll lately. emily and kelly are doing such a good job haha all horses have their gayish days. but thats like us, we have moodish days. alloott.. hahaha!

thats good you and your pony are doing good but yeh dont forget like the one girl said everyone intiteled to an off day and ou jsut have to relax and not force but suggest things to them and it will come slowly i have to do taht with the horse im currently training right now her name is dixie and she was trained but the girl totally messed her up the one that if you will"trained" her soo her canter used to be liek a bunny hope but now after lots and lots of work she now extends her leg and collect up into it and is much comfer to sit to kepp up the good work i dont really know you but sounds liek you try hard but still remeber to be pateint and take our time and it will all come together wonderfully in the end but wont happen over night!<3 trust me on this one i had to train a free legged pacer horse to trot! after she got off the track and now she can canter!

Yesterday was the show! Rudy was very good going on the trailer, he was a little nervous at first, but I lead him, and Dad and Glen pushed his butt, and he hopped right on! Once we got on, me, Julia, and Elsabe ran up and got him out. Then we brought him inside and put him on crossties. Then Natasha braided him, and I hung out with Julia and Elsabe! In lunch break, I tacked him up and brought him out. He was very good when I got on, and he was a bit curious about the new place, but he calmed down as soon as he saw the grass. I warmed him up in the dressage arena, and he was very good. Then Elsabe begged me to let her get on, so then Elsabe went for a little ride on him I was getting really nervous, so Dad walked him around, while I sat down with Elsabe. Then my classes were up (W/T Equitation US #2, W/T Pleasure #2). Rudy was bugging me a bit, cause right when we had to trot, he stopped and pooped, and wouldn't move . But then we trotted around just fine, except some misses kept cutting me off. I got 5th place in both of my classes, which wasn't too bad for my first show! I had lots of fun, and congrats to everyone!

You and Rudy did really good in the show! You looked great on him! I also got a 5th in one of my classes cuz Billy wouldn't pick up his leads !!

Havn't posted here in a while!
Let's see.... I have been working on my juping, we can do a little crossrail now. Rudy often overjumps it though, haha. We also LOVE to gallop in the big field, Rudy is like "Weehooo!". We recently when in the SCS Dressage Show, but we didn't place. I didn't think I would, I'm totally hunter/jumper, haha.
Last night I rode in the indoor, cause it was late. I am so proud of Rudy! He did great trotting, not too hyper, yet very forward. We worked on some 20 metre circles in trot, just to help steady his trot. Then, I decided to try to canter him in there. He hasn't cantered in there since April, but last night he cantered around the full indoor three times without stopping! I was sooo proud!I also found out he can neck rain! Wooo Rudy! After some canter, we cooled out. Then I gave him some hay cubes as a treat, cause Pam made too much
