Aww...I remember Rudy's "tranter"!!! When i rode him I found he was best if he wasn't expecting you to ask for the canter otherwise he would try and run into it. Maybe walk to canter transitions!?!? Anywho sweets great job with him, I'll look for you in the show ring on Canada day

Yesterday I didn't have time to ride Rudy, so I groomed him real good, and took him out to the outdoor arena and free lunged him! He was pretty hyper, went around galloping and bucking like madman! I set up a couple of poles on the ground and he jumped over them like they were 10 feet high! It was so cute! He kept on running around, and then he got tired so I walked him back to the barn to cool him out. He was very good, didn't pull when he saw the hay, and he was so good i barely had to hold the lead rope! I was very proud! Then my dad brought him in cause Katie was riding Sofie and I hopped on her, and then after I gave ihim some treats and cuddles! Love my ponz!!

Yesterday I went to the barn with my friend Delena. Rudy was pretty good coming back from the field, not too much pulling. Next time I'll try it without the chain over his nose. Then I groomed him really good, cause he was quite muddy. Then I tacked him up, and got on. His was super good, hardly any wiggling. Amanda Reynolds helped me on cause his girth is too big. Then we walked around a bit to get any sillies out, and then we headed out to the outdoor. He was good, he called out to his bff Beamon once and did a little trot over to him, but it was fine. Then I walked around the outdoor, and did some trot. I didn't do too much in there because Hilary was riding Clay over some poles and I didn't want to get in their way, so I went back to the indoor, and did some more trot work, but I didn't do alot because his girth was uber loose and I didn't want to fall off . Then I cooled him out, and brought him in! He got some apples and carrots for being such a good boy! <3

Today was the trail ride! Rudy was amazing, I thought he would've been spooky or something, but he was amazing, I am so proud! We tacked up, and got on super fast. Then I headed up to wait for the girls from Dixie to come, and then we headed off on the trail. Rudy and Beamon were walking next to eachother, which is great cause they are best friends! I was a bit nervous considering I had never been on this trail before, and it was my first trail with Rudy, but we were great! After a bit we trotted to catach up to the other girls, and then I stopped for a minute cause Mel had to go pee in the woods . But Rudy kept bucking at the flies, so I headed down the hill. I was nervous cause he was bucking and wanted to go back, but Mel came after me and then we both went down. We went into the Dixie River, and it was pretty deep but Rudy was amazing, especially for the pony that is deathy afraid of puddles ! Then we came across some cut down trees, which everyone else jumped over, but Rudy was a bit too little, so I got off and walked him around. Then I hopped back on and kept walking. After a bit, we came to a field so I went for a little trot, and then we had a lunch break so my dad walked him around while I hung out with Mel and Prancer! After we ate, I got back on and we headed on the road back, there were a few ATVs but they all stopped and let us pass. We went for a little canter, nothing too much cause he can get very hyper cantering in a open area, but he was super good! When I got back, and everyone left, I gave Rudy a nice cool bath to cool him down, cause he was SUPER sweaty! I was so so so so so proud, so I let him graze for a bit and then put him in his paddock. Pics later! Love, Sarah and Rudy!

Sarah I'm really proud of how you handled the situation today. I did not expect to get you to come back that easily but, hey, theres no way in hadies you can out run Prancer and I, hahahaha.
Everyone else CLIMBED over the logs Prancer is the one who JUMPED. Hahaha. I mean like I went two point and she still manages to bump me. Crazy jumper pony.
Rudy secretly loved the water.

On wednesday I went up to try on Rudy's blankie. He was very good coming in from his field, a little bit of pulling for grass, but nothing much! Then I groomed him because he was a dirtbag , and then I tried his blankie on! It looks sexy on him, and fits like a gem! I'll get pictures soon, I have a lesson tomorrow

BIG SUCCESS! I didn't have a lesson on saturday, but I did ride. Rudy has very good coming back from his field, no pulling whatsoever. I tacked him up and got on him. Then we walked around without stirrups, and after he was warmed up, I did some trot with stirrups. I havn't ridden in a while, so he was all SUPERPONYPOWERTROT! It was so fast I couldn't post to it . Then we headed out to the outdoor, but there were a bunch of jumps set up, so I headed up to the big field. We went for a little trot, and he did a little canter, but I didn't let him do much, cause he likes to go nuts in big fields . Then we went back down to the indoor cause the mosquitos were gone retarded biting me. Then we worked on our canter. He "trantered" for a bit, but then did a long side of canter! I was soooo proud of him! Then we did a couple of times around the arena in canter, and then I cooled him out! He did amazing, I was soo happy! He was some sweaty by the end of it, though . I gave him some treats then I put him in his field.

Yesterday I went to the barn. Rudy was super good coming in from the field, a little bit of pulling but not much! Then I sprayed so tea tree oil on his cuts, and he was extremely good, only wiggled a bit! I took him out to the arena and hopped on him, and walked around. Raven was in the arena and he was being kinda crazy, so we stayed in the top end of the arena for a bit. After Rudy was all warmed up, we did some trot. He wasn't too hyper, but wasn't lazy either. Then we walked around outside for a bit, just while Raven was cantering, and then we went back in, and worked on our canter. He is still trantering a bit, but after my Dad ran around, we did lots of cantering around the whole arena. I was super proud. Then I hopped off and untacked him, and walked him around with Katie while we chatted. Then I picked out his hooves, and put on his new blankie. I turned him out in his field and gave him some hay! Love, Sarah and Rudy!

OMGOMGOMGOMG! Last night was just incredible! Rudy was perfect coming in from his field, no pulling at all! I groomed him, and tacked him up. Then I got on, and rode around with Krissy and Misty. Rudy was very forward in his walk, and after a bit, me and Krissy headed out to the outdoor. Rudy was super good, and hyper cause there were some jumps set up. Then we went for a trot, he was awesome! Very forward, but not crazy. We did some poles in trot too, just for something a little different. Then, I picked up canter! HE WAS I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E! He went around the whole outdoor arena not once, but TWICE! I was so proud I nearly cried! Then we did that a bit more, cause he really wanted to keep going! Krissy and my dad were screaming out WAHOO, and GO SARAH! Then, I propped up a pole on the bottom of the standerd, so one side was raised off the ground a bit, and we went over it in canter, and he jumped it! It was so amazing, I was crazy proud. After that I walked him around, and then we headed back. His saddle pad had slipped, so I got on him bareback! He is so comfy to ride bareback, and we must've walked around for 20 minutes just walking around. At one point I was lying down on him, half asleep . After he was cooled out, I got him untacked, picked out his hoovies, and gave him tons of treats and hay! I've never been so proud in my life, and we are so much in love!
