If you can't try a bridle with a bit next time, you should work on walk/halt at every second letter or so .. she seems to not respond as well with that bitless, but I don't know what she's like with a bit.
Umm, for the walk/trot exercises, well, along with just walk/trot out large, you could try serpintines, broken lines, figure 8's, trotting poles, weaving pilons are also good, etc.
I wish I had a few of those "101 exercises" books. Hmm, christmas gift from mommy? haha I think so!

It's hard to do stuffs with you in the arena up my bum cause tyra's a hard-mouthed/head strong stubborn couch who makes sugar mad.

Wow i love that horse! and i think it so awesome u ride her in a bitless..if the owner ever wants to sell that bridle let me know Please!!

So I found out today that the bitless is a piece of TURDBUM. Or something. We went and got the horses, Andrea and I did, and we brushed them and tacked them up outside, cause it was a very nice day. We rode in the arena first. Sugar was going so well walking/jogging/halting on command. Moving off the leg and doing circles and whatnot. She was doing it all. She liked it because it wasn;t so windy. Andrea and I decide to take the horses out for a hack on the road. Everything was fine and dandy on the way down. But on the way back Tyra decided to take off, she ran right to the driveway and took the turn so sharp! Andrea slid off the side of her and landed in a pile of leaves, the lucky -----. haha. Yeis. Anyways, I heard Andrea scream, not knowing what she said, I thought she might have been hurt. Sugar seen Tyra run off and so she did the same thing. And boy oh boy was she EVER fast. She plowed into the driveway where andrea was and andrea tried to stop her, but Sugar just fumbled a few steps and then I went flying, and she took off. I hit the ground and rolled and bounced. I really did a number on myself. ohh dear. Other than me frigging up my hip, arm and knee, I'm alright. I can't wait to go back either. I took Sugar's saddle and bridle off and put her halter on and then took her in the arena to clam her down a bit and she was nudging at me, as if to say she was sorry. I love her so much. Anyways, pictures! (I even have gorey battle wound ones!)     after the fall:  *cough* retard *cough*  the leadrope made a heart. <3 aww.  |

Drove into the barn today! Got to see my baby girl for the first time since I fell off of her. I've been SO busy, it's not even fit. But me and andrea made a pact to go in every wesnesday. Yay. So, I think she was happy to see me - maybe she thought she damaged me for lyfe. So I got hugs and gave her carrots. and kisses and scratches. We couldn't ride cause of the ice in the arena. Damn winter-ish. So we helped trish bring all of them in for the night and I tried my bridle on her. It fits and now all I need is a bit. mmmm bit. Yes man. But I loves the girl. Even if she deserves the "Cranky Mare" award of the year! *love* Andrea posted these already but I lightened them. And made one Black and white.   |

So yeah. A very eventful day I must say. Andrea already wrote about it. So I'll sum it up. -Drove to the barn on roads that WERE NOT fit (for my car anyways) -Seen the pretty girl. -Brushed her, loved her. -Didn't ride. Too icy. On the way home was pretty eventful. A transport truck was barrling up the road.. and when it passed us it sloshed the car with slush and then I moved over and the back of the car hit the slush and I lost control and then went on the opposite side of the road and went into the ditch! YAY go me. Picturess: chillin;  she's so fat. she looks like she's in foal.      Her baby boy Lugo.
