wow it's been almost two months since i last updated this thread.
Teezer has come a long long way since july.
first thing we accomplished is her downward and upwards transistions work with my body not my reins.
-second we started flyings, and she's amazing with them. she's still not 100% with them but she's 95 with them she's amazing.
-thirdd ...... We jump 3'6 ... i'm so happy she is so mazing and loves jumping.
In my next lesson dennis is either going to free school her and she how high she can go. or we are working on shortening lengthening her strides and flyings and jumping ( and hopefully some day i'll kick my hunching shoulders habit away..)
I'm so happy with her improvement and heart to jump : )

Had another lesson yesterday.
-worked on extension and collection at trot and canter.
-worked on flying lead changes ( which she has perfected : ) )
-also we worked on keeping a consistant pace when changing leads and almost maintianing a straight body when changing leads. she has improved so much with it!!
-then we worked on striding and turns, and my position.
-we did a four stride to a fence 2'6.
-we did a four stride after a fence 2'6.
-worked on keeping my shoulders back not hunched!
-worked on sitting up when moving in and out of sharp turns.

Wow Ashleyy, thats awesome! You should post some new pics soon, I'm sure your momma could snap a few at your next lesson

You and Teezer are an awesome team, you really lucked out with her too; what a naturally talented mare! She just loves to jump.

thanks jess : ), ive been trying so much to get someone to take pictures but my camera decided to break and no one would do it for me anyways lol.

i've had two lessons since i wrote in this last, and they were both amazing lessons!
I also had two jumping lessons on breeze now to he's just a cutie at it!

Ok so first lesson with teezer we worked on bending, lengthening, shortening, and my shoulders and sitting deep and back.
then we did bounces : )..
we did a double bounce, first fence 2'3 second 2'3 third 2'3.
then we did first fence 2'3 second fence 2'9 third fence 2'3
it was an amazing lesson and it was so challenging and fun!

we also did the same with breeze EXCEPT it was only one fence then two then three and it was all crossrails then all 2ft verticals! he's a trooper : )

second lesson,
Today : ), we worked on my judgement, using counting before fences but actually using the count and knowing when i have to add or take out a stride or sit back or use leg etc etc. it really helped me : )
we jumped a vertical first at 2'3 then 2'6 then 3'0 then 3'3
then we changed it to an oxer to compare take off distances and how you apporach this differently then a vertical etc.
first it was 2'3 then 2'6 then we raised it a hole !
then .......................................
I jumped my VERY FIRST TRIPLE BAR
it was so amazing and powerful i loved it : )
.....

we basically did the same with breeze except way lower and no triple bar, he was pretty cute : )

sad to say this coming weekend will be my last lesson dennis is leaving for ontario
i'm so sad and i'm going to be lost without him.

Ok so it's been a nice while.

Buttt Tomorrow my hardcore training beings. Gulp.
So i thought i was coachless this summer but thankfully Dennis decided he didn't have enough of Newfoundland and came back.

Tomorrow Teezer is going to be moving to Silverwood Stables for one month. Since the snow is not leaving fast enough i'm still arenaless, and sense my first show is june 20th in nova scotia we need an indoor to start conditioning and training.

So tomorrow, Teezer and myself start conditioning and flatwork for 3- 4 weeks. Then the remaining weeks before leaving for Nova Scotia it will be jumping and more flatwork.

I'll update tomorrow on how the move went

Well Teezer is made it safely to Silverwood tonight. It was a smooth ride and she seems to be settling right in. Tomorrow the riding and mane pulling begins.

I myself also need to get myself and my horsie back in shape. That'll start next week when my exams are over.

Ok so my lesson tonight totally showed how one: out of shape i am. Two: how out of shape Teezer is. And three: how much work we have ahead of us.

Tonight we basically worked on bending, Transitions, and developing lost muscles everywhere.

Hehe it will come quick Ash, just get out and ride her as much as possible And YOU get out and ride as much as possible too, even take Breeze out when you can't get out to the barn or whatever.

Are you still coming to show at Gingerwood this summer? Make sure you LET ME KNOW because I'm hoping to be ready to show by then as well and regardless, I want to come cheer you on!

We all get out of shape in the winter no worries I'm sure you'll both be back in the full swing of things soon! Teezer is going to miss her winter vacation!
