WOW! it's been a long time posting in this hmmm maybe it's due to the fact nursing as taken over my life and hasn't given me a chance to breath let alone ride
But... Today was such a beautiful day sunny but cold but nicee and my last midterm was today so i decided it was a good time to ride
I only went for a short ride to CRS and back. But it was the funniest ride of my life. Since the snowbanks are basically over our heads teezer took the interest to go from one side of the road to the other every three to four minutes to check out what was behind these very big abnormal hills, she would be extremely excited ( i think she tought something was going to be on the other side lol) but when she looked over them all she saw was snow and would seem kinda disappointed then walk forward for three minutes and try the other side again bahaha ... she did this the whole say home i was having to much fun watching her to even care about what she was doing as long as she listened to me whenever i asked things of her..
but the funniest thing was when we were on the way to CRS.. me thinking i'll ask her to go for a boot up hill i guess ( me thinking it's teezer and usaully she bes like run o come on i like to walk) But instead i got the most powerful start off ever from her... she almost left me behind ( i was riding bareback)... lol she slowed down at the top me dying laughing holding on hahaha!!
i swear if ne one rode with me today or saw me and teezer going down the road they must of thought we were the biggest losers and i was the worst rider of lifeee haha
i must say i wish someone was with me
It was one of my most funniest and relaxing rides

Since I've started taking lessons with Dennis, I decided i should update on Teezer's training log. Yesterday I had a lesson and we worked on
- walk/canter, canter/walk transistions
- leg yeilding at walk & trot to the left and right.
- extended/collected trot
-Framing
-My position and leg strength and balance
I think that's about it. Every time after a lesson i swear teezer and I have improved a HUGE amount. Next lesson is on Thursday : )

Dennis is a great coach isn't he?! I bet you guys ARE improving by leaps and bounds, given his knowledge and your thirst for knowledge and work ethic!! Really happy for you guys!

Yesterday
We worked on,
Leg yeilding left and right at trot and walk.
bending activites.
moving off the leg, & balancing activites for me and teezer.
pushing her into the bridle etc.
Teezer choose to have a contrary day and made me work hard. god love her though

Today i had another lesson AND i loved it : ).
We worked on
- moving in a straight line
-worked on perfecting a nice turn
-trotting poles, working on keeping a consistant pace
-THEN we JUMPED
-ground pole, then bounce
-ground pole, then hightened fence, then higher fence ( Bounce )

I think teezer has improved so much. at first there was alot of pilot errors by me ( poor teezer ) but i had no were else to go but improve, and in the end i think there was a huge improvement. only knocked the fence down once, and teezer made up for my mistakes, AND SHE LOVES IT AND SO DO I!!!

Next lesson is Tuesday : )

Yesterday I had another lesson.
We did
Walk/trot transistions
walk/canter, trot/canter transistions
Then we jumped : )
First a crossrail. I'm still learning proper distance, the right spot, my posistion and man is it ever hard. i felt like i sucked yesterday, but i guess i can only improve.
then we jumped a 2ft vertical with ground poles, then dennis took them away.
Hard work it was, teezer was cranky with the mud, but she still managed to fix my mistakess

Today was sooo hardd. But teezer was soo awesome and willing and dealt well with my multiple mistakes.
We:
-Warmed up doing cirlces and transisitions.
- then we jumped a cross rail
-then a vertical
-then my very first oxer. ( cross rail then vertical) and wow it's really exciting and hard.
teezer seemed to enjoy it, and we practiced on my balance and allowing her to jump the jump
and help me not try and jump for her. I tend to like to lean to forward before the jump, and my release sometimes is failing arms but i'm hoping to work really hard on it and nip that habit in the but before it becomes just that, a habit.
-then we turned the oxer from a cross rail then vertical to a vertical vertical. wow it was hard and scary but teezer never shyed away once.
-then we did a double bounce, HARD HARD HARD is all i got to say, i swear that tested me to the extreme and god love teezer for putting up with my many mistakes, and after she figured out how to jump it, it came to me helping her get there and in the right spot etc.
I bow to you girls who jump, bc as a begginer i find it really challenging and there is sooo much for me to learn and improve on.
learned so much today and i can't wait for my next lesson

Thanks em i love her to death, she just seems to want to please all the time. i also posted pictures in picture place : )

Today I didn't have a lesson but i rode her for 30 min, since it was really really warm out.
I only did simple slow activities due to the heat as well.
-We practiced on our turns
-Did walking and trotting poles
-and Some transistion work walk/canter walk/trot Canter/walk etc etc

I'll be riding tomorrow and i have a lesson on wednesday So excitedd : )

I had a lesson yesterday. It went really well.
Worked on the flat, doing bending, relaxing, suppling etc.
Did transistion work.
Then we jumped.
- we jumped a vertical, and dennis helped me work on not abandoning her,
and helping her from drifting ( or forcing her to not drift)
- we jumped an oxer worked on the same.
-We jumped a vertical, three strides, oxer, then to the next vertical.
There is still alot i have to work on.
I need to work on my release ALOT.
I need to work on pushing my shoulders back and stop hunching them.
I also need to work on my postition and much more..
I look forward to my next lesson, but it won't be until after Ruth's show on saturday i'm so scared...



Also today i schooled teezer for about 45 min.
Warmed up with cirlces ( bending and keeping her momentum/consistancy)
walk/trot/lope transistion.
Then i jumped a vertical. First at 2ft.
I work hard on stoping her from drifting, and keeping my shoulders back and my release.
I was hard and i guess i didn't do the best but i'll slowly improve i hope, WEll i'm going to try anyways.
Then i just heightened it to 2'6, then 2'9. bc i'm possibly jumping that in the show the weekend. She cleared it, but i still need alot of work.

So at the show last weekend, dennis made me ride low hunters ( min2'6 max 2'9) all by myself. teezer really over jumped the scarry looking jumps lol but god love. I also placed 3rd and fourth in beginnger hunter jumping, and i can't remember what i got for the flat. We also placed 1st in senoir pleasure, and 2nd in senior road hack. it was quit the experience i really enjoyed it.

Then Sunday i had a lesson. Just a flat lesson. We worked on teezer's drifting problem, and my problem of not helping her with it. We did transitions w/t/c.
We also worked on my posistion and balance.
-and we worked on circles over ground poles. trying make sure there's no drift.

I also had a lesson Tuesday.
Scary and hard. Once again we worked on drifting.
-First we warmed up with getting the Proper lead.
-Worked on a nice canter and trot. And worked on using only my body to slow her down.
-Then we started jumping.
: Worked on MY POSITION!, Teezer's Drifting.
Dennis set up two jumps so that i'd be on a circle jumping them. ( well kinda)
- We started with two foot, then went to 2'3 then 2'6, then dennis raised them to 3ft.
worked on striding, take off spots and how their different for each hieght.
And position over each hieght..


Teezer is improving so much and she seems to love it so much. but i on the other hand have loads to work on....

Yesterday was teezer's first offical english show away from home.
I'm really pleased with how she did, and behaved.
We entered cabot hunters, terra nova hunters, equitation a o/f and u/s, and all the hack classes. I'm really pleased with her preformance. We also clamed the high point for terra nova. it was just me and sarah but i'm proud of her .
Also the show grounds were wonderful and i really enjoyed my trip out
