Unino I am not arguing with you. Members can re-read your posts in this thread and see what is fact and what is speculation.
I can't comment on HAPPA, because I know nothing. But I will agree with Katherine in saying that this thread has been fueled by very strong emotions which are not in check. It is full of inflammatory comments and unverified accusations. So take Rodeo's advice and follow the appropriate channels to get your answers.

While emotions are strong here, I can back unino in that she has first hand experience. I have too, but I won't post my experiences on here because it was before the current board was running the place. I have had experiences with them with the current board which I will gladly discuss with anyone who shares my concerns.
I think this a hot issues for all members of the equestrian community because you have a couple of "horse" people running the show. These people have gotten away with some shady stuff, and people are angry about it.
Personally I don't give a crap what they do. What I would like to see personally is the current funds they have be allocated to another rescue of some sort or at least frozen until some of this can be sorted out. And hopefully the board will come to their senses or someone else will offer a stall or a pasture to a horse in need, when needed.

There is a major need for a facility for not only horses but all other animals as well, the SPCA is full a lot of times(more so cats than dogs) and heavenly creatures relies on foster homes, while fosters tend to be better for the animal, they are not always available. Current organizations funds are all going to surgeries and care for animals, and theres none left over for a new or bigger facility. I've been wondering what course of action one would take if you wanted to raise money solely for a facility for both large and small animals, and let heavenly creatures or another organization run it.
