I think the first english so far scheduled is July first at clovelly. As far as i know the highest jumped last year was 2'9. i don't know if there will be changes this year! and as far as i know there are only hunters in this show. Hope that helps somewhat. the nea website doesn't have any shows listed yet for this year. But clovelly has three already scheduled! All have english and western classes Canada Day show July 1st Summer classic August 1st Fall classic Sept 19 ! Also the west coast has a nice few events listed at www.geocities.com/wneclub/events-2009.htmlAlso Grand Falls has a yearly show, but I think they are thinking of having two this year. But their dates have not been posted yet. Also there will be reining and dressage shows but none posted yet. If any of my info is incorrect please correct me !

There are three Hunter\Hack shows, Three or four Dressage shows...and I can't speak for western. There is a Bronze Level Dressage show May 9th...It should be a big show, held at Clovelly. Jess & Andrea Rinelander would be the contact for them. Over fences classes haven't been well attended, but there are several people planning to move up in the Hunters, so hopefully the max. heights will be up there... giving us something to work towards !! 2'6" isn't much more than a green hunter class !! My greenish mare will do 3' without much problem.

Awesome, another rider to add to the competition! (Although not competition for me unless you plan to show western too, hahaha). I hope you're planning to attend some shows out here, since you're not that far away! Ashley already posted the link to the west coast event listings on the WNEC website. Can't wait to meet you and your horse(s).

As of right now there aren't any actual jumper shows in NL due to the new rule requiring an actual course designer. So shows only offer hunter classes. I think 2'9" was the highest I saw at a show last summer. But with more competition hopefully there will be an increase in heights. (That'll make it more entertaining for me to watch ) Oh, I want more competition in western! The more people there are the more fun it is. Sigh, I might have to show english just to have more people to ride with. ;D
