Please delete my profile/membership. I'd do it myself but can't find where??
It's apparent you are only interested in horse-lovers with the finances to keep theier expensive horses in boarder barns with coaches and the like.
I have been slammed for suggesting a horse drink out of a river, and another not be medicated to keep it calm.
I don't need this.
Please delete my profile and membership.
Fearless (but cowed enough by you know-it alls!!) to want OUT!

Way to stick it out. I've had worse things said to me, and they're not even that bad. Both of those things I agree with - sure, your horse can drink out of a river, and sure, it can be medicated to keep calm. EDIT: You were HARDLY "slammed" for the water thing. Get over it. Everybody has opinions. This forum is NOT for rich people with fancy horses in boarder barns. There are A LOT of people who have none or are none of those things. You're stereotyping and being unfair.
This won't be the only place where people are going to pick on you. It's called life, and you can't exactly get out of that.

yeah... whatever. most people here are either leasing or just taking lessons, and majority of thoughs who own work there ASSES of to afford to keep them. real stereotypical of you to say 'people who board have expensive horses and coaches' umm.. completely untrue? i had a part time job, plus full time high school student to pay for my horse.. i know alot of people in same situation; and my horse was not expensive (and if you consider him expensive.. don't bother asking what FEI horses or professional reiners go for) but thats another topic.. if you have your own horse at your house, what a privilege, I'm jealous you have the option to do so! most of us live in city area's, and don't have the option to have our horse at our house.. so I'm a rich snob because I rather have my horse in a nice sized paddock, fat and happy at a boarding barn, then being crammed in my backyard with barely any room to move? yeah.. OK. I'm the bad one.
people have opinions, and because everyone doesn't agree with yours doesn't mean you're getting slammed..

I needed a good laugh today...and this was totally it.
Fearless - Why didn't you just ask someone on here how to delete your account? Instead you get all dramatic which is totally childish. And I am pretty sure you didn't get "slammed" for suggesting a horse drink out of a river. Your post on that topic was quite rude actually...
If I was a moderator I would totally honor your request and delete your account in a heartbeat

So as per your wishes, your account is deleted. We dont need nasty messages, and negative comments here.
Thought I'd post the sweet pm this person sent me last week, out of the blue. Really kind of them. I have know idea why this person singled me out, and was kind enough to point me owning a pair of Uggs, which is apparently a crime now.
Thought I would add, I work my ass off, do not have an arena or indoor arena, and am lucky if I get one lesson a month. ALSO I do not treat my horse as a yorkie, he lives outside.
"I really didn't mean to be rude. My horse drinks from puddles during long trail rides as does my dog. It freaks me out! I always worry about antifreeze in the puddles but I ride with a vet. He doesn't worry about it half as much as I do.
Having the river tested may not be a bad idea but realistically if it's running water how can you be sure from one day to the next if something died in it??
I am disappointed that what I type gets misinterpeted as being "rude".
I thought I was just answering a sincere question!
My pet peeve are folks that treat horses as house pets! They are big and dangerous and can tolerate cold and find water better than any yorkie!
So don't use your river. I thought from your first post it was an option and I was confused.
I don't keep my horse at home but I know many people that do. It's reasonable to use running water. And testing it makes little sense since it could test clean the day BEFORE the rabid fox died in it! Frankly, rabid foxes or dead beavers are more likely to give human's an upset stomach then they are to kill horses.
Your's is not a friendly board. Everyone seems to know each other. BUT it's VERY obvious who you guys don't like. Newbees get ripped apart!
I am OK to let it go. I think if someone invites advice they should suck it up even if they don't want to take it. EVERYONE looking for advice asks until they hear what they want to! But tearing into folks that didn't say what they wanted to hear is typical of teenagers.
Maybe the Board name should stay the same?
It would grow better if you could encourage opinions that emcompass those who own crosses out beyond the Avalon. If you don't have access to lessons it's insanely depressing to hear, "check with your coach". Sigh!
Some kids are coping without lessons or saddles!
But if you discourage them..........? And you are on NTR with your blankets and heated buckets and dressage pads for sale.........
Someone asked recently about a Griffith saddle and you all said she could buy something better, cheaper......
They don't come cheaper! By my first saddle was a Griffith. cheap leather but it served my purpose. No resale value but for $200 I didn't expect it too. But you guys were all about buying Quality first.
You are all about having money.......it's fine... I'm sure you think you are struggling to keep Red.......but I don't wear Ugg's or having.......never mind...........
It's about encouraging riders but.......only if they can afford lessons or indoor arenas!"

Aha that just made my day. Em, you are SUCH a rich snob, owning Uggs and all. God forbid some of us might want to keep our feet warm. We do live in newfoundland after all.
