i have a bunch of updating to do! i can't remember my last few rides, but i KNOW we've been doing transitions anyway, my last ride was pretty good. I rode bareback same as ruth, boone wasn't in the best of moods, and i was a bit tired, so i thought i'd just give bareback a try he was great with it! i love bareback, it's actually very comfortable, but i was glad i had a chubier horse! haha! i can do his girth up now, so hopefully he's losing some weight. he's being more responsive to my leg, at w/t, but i'm still working on canter. it's better, but it could be much better cooled out, put him in. simple ride, but it was fun

What an idiot. What makes me mad is that he was so good in the morning when I went and got him. And great when I rode him, too. I guess he just REALLY didn't want to come in again.

boone was good today when i got to the barn, marsha was grooming him, so i didn't have to do that, and she had to show me something with his saddle, so i didn't have to do that either! warmed up w/t, just doing the normal, it was freezing so i only rode for about a half hour our canter transitions were sucky today, but oh well! cooled out and put him in. simple ride he's becoming a bit of a bully, so thanks to marsha, i now know how to stop him bein a bully

Was he nice and clean? I was by the barn yesterday and gave him a grooming, haha. That wind was cold though, I hope you didn't freeze!

haha! your right marsha, he was pretty clean. anyway, so i had a lesson on friday, and i CAN NOT wait for my next! when i went down to the barn, i started tacking up, and maria comes rushing down, telling me that she has a lesson today at 530, and then i remember that were having a semi that day so i just stuck him in his stall with is saddle on, but i kept a close watch on him, cause i didn't want him to get too comfortable and lie down!! i didn't think he would do that, and of course he didn't. so warmed up walkin around. sue filled me in about every thing, and then maria and i started this game. we had to try to catch up to each other, but we couldn't trot. we had to "sway" their belies back and forth, but depending on how you did it, made them go faster or slower. it's not rocket science, but it's not as simple as kick and go, either. i learned a lot that lesson, and FINALLY we actually had a good canter transition!!!!!!!!!!!!! some weren't so great, but we had a couple, that were ;D ;D riding today, i'll update later

so, i had a quick ride on sunday. marsha had already rode so it was only about 20-30 mins. maria gave me a mini lesson. quick warm up walk, and we did a bit of trot. it was just transitions, and i worked on what i did in my lesson. boone was just being good, not super or anything, but i was happy cooled down and went inside. not much to write about, that's pretty much it.
