I've been riding Billy for a while now so I decided to start a log for us  Today Me and Elsabe went up into Billy's and Paddy's Field together to get the Ponies. After we got both of them I put Billy on cross ties and groomed him. He was pretty Muddy!I rode in a D-ring instead of a kimberwick (sp?) today. He was amazing. We practiced bending and leg yeilds. He was perfect. I got him to bend in the walk and keep a bend in his trot (he usually puts his head up) After we tried canter. He picked up his right lead every time. After we did some flying changes. He did them really well. He got a little excited and bucked the next time I asked him to canter but he was fine. I am taking him in the dressage show . Yesterday I rode Billy outside. After we warmed up we practiced bening on a 20m circle. He was really good. After I did some leg yeilds with him. When we picked up canter he was a little slow but I gave hima little kick and he was fine. We had a few problems with leads. We tried simple changes and we did a flying too  But after I was able to fix his leads so our ride was pretty good ! |

I rode Yesterday. Me and Billy and Julia and Beau went up to the gallops fields and fooled around . Today i didn't ride because Billy got bitten around his ribs. It was swelling ALOT. I cleaned it and put stuff on it. Its really sore . Before I tried to ride him because it wasn't swolen and didn't look that bad. But he was tossing his head and was telling me "ouch" so I got off and cooled him out and brang him in.After I gave him a bath. |

Actually he is doing alot better, I havn't updated this in a while. The swelling in is cut has gone out of it and its all scabbed over. I havn't ridden much because its been too warm. I did ride the other day though. Me and Billy rode in the dressage arena. I didn't canter because it was wayy to warm. First I warmed him up for 5 minutes them I started doing some circles in walk. I tried to get him bending a little more. He is doing a lot better with bending. After that we did some leg yeilds at walk. He hasn't really gotten the isea yet but he did some good ones. Then we moves on to trot. I only trotted for 6 or 7 minutes I worked on some leg yeilds and bending. I didn't canter. Nat and Sid and Me and Billy went on a little cool out hack. When I took his tack off he was sweating sooo much, so I hosed him down Over all I had a really good ride. I am going out to ride today so I will update this later. Julia |

I rode Billy yesterday. me and Elsabe when on a trail. I was bareback. But then this HUGE wasp flew by and it landed on billy so I hopped off. Then I couldn't get back on So we went back and I mounted agian and we just whent up and down the driveway. Then whent in the dressage arena and fooled around. I am going to ride today so I'll update this later. - Julia |

Today I rode Billy and Lucas. Since jasmine is out of town for a week I get to ride Lucas Lucas: I rode Lucas today out doors. First we warmed up and did a little walk leg yields.After we trotted. I did a lot of work In trot. First I did some circles and got him bending. he bends SOO well (I love that horse ). Then we did some trot leg yields which were AMAZING. We only cantered twice and didn't realy do anything. I am still getting used to his "big" horse stride Billy: I rode Billy on a hack with Kelsey and trigger and Julia and Andy. It was fun. One time trigger decided he was going to canter so Billy galloped off too. He put his head between his legs (we were all bareback by the way  )And decided he was going to buck. On coarse I pulled him up and he was fine after. They were in their stalls almost the whole day so he was full of beans Both rides where really fun and good. I'm riding both of them (or at least Lucas) tomorow so I'll update it later. |

Thanks Yesterday we rode Billy WESTERN. Lol, he is such a superstar. First we warmed up then we did some jog. At first he "trotted" then kelsey hooped on for like 2 minutes then had to leave because they were practicing loading horses on the tralier. Anyways, after Kelsey got off he calmed down. And we started to jog and he actually jogged. Little wstern pony <3. Se we jogged around a little then whent outside. After jogginga little more we picked up our lope and he actually loped, a slow canter . I was soo suprised! After riding around a little more Joan got on him and just did walk ,jog lope (that sounds so wierd ! I am used to walk trot canter ) Then I hopped back on. The Nat got on. You should have sceen them go! She galloped him in the arena and he loved it . I rode Sid for a while when she was on him. i just warmed him up After we cooled him out. Nat has a few pictures. Over all my ride was AMAZING. I'm riding agian today so I'll update it later Julia |

Since Julia is gone away to camp for this week and I'm going to be riding Billy. I'm also gonna high jack this thread (Julia's my sister for those of you who don't know  ). Anyways I rode today. First we worked on lots on transitions in the walk and trot to get Billy to pay attention. After Billy was warmed up practiced a few simple changes. They went really well! I also attempted a flying change (yes Billy can do them) but it didn't work out to well . Then worked lengthening and shorting his trot as while as more transitions. By the end of my ride I could do a decent trot-halt transition. I rode in a snaffle today so I also worked on getting Billy to bend more. He was really good and I had a great ride . Jasmine |
