today I went up to visit the horse!  I couldn't ride because my mother wasn't there to supevise me, so I decided that after a good groom, I could lunge her! So I groomed her for about 45 minutes, then I lunged her for about 20-25 minutes, walk, nice jog, and a bit of lope, both ways... When I asked her to lope she went foolish  , she bucked and farted and ran around and around and around the arena, and then she simmered right down into a pretty little lope, When she loped the other way she was sane as could be!  I then took her into the barn and groomed her down and gave her a little treat before I put her away. Ginger is wonderful, I love her! |

Suzanne, I got to say, You're really good at keeping these training logs.
I fail when it comes to these. haha. But anyways, Keep up the work with her.

today I went up for a total of 15 minutes with my two friends... I visited her in the stall... tomorrow I paln to go there and lunge her or ride! I can't wait!

today I went to the barn with Danielle! I think she really enjoyed it!
I brushed Ginger and I decided to take her out in the round pen! She was soooooo happy to play in the snow, it was soo cute! I love that horse. She was trotting and loping and tossing her head and kicked out a few times! She was having the time of her life... After she played a little, I starting using voice and body language to free lunge her and do some command work, she listened fairly well!
I thne let her play in the snow again, and she rolled! awwww it was tooo cute! I love her! What a girl!
I then took her back in and flicked her off and stayed in the stall with her for a minute! Awwww horses! *Love*

today, me and Shelly went up to see Ginger! It was Shelly's first time seeing her since she moved to Silverwood; she said she looked good! I brushed her and saddled her up and went out and walked, jogged, and a little bit of loping both ways! She did good! When we werer done we got Shelly to get on, and she did walk, jog and lope! She tested out her turn on the haunch. Then I hoped back on and did some jogging serpentines and then we were done! I brushed her down lots, and spend some christmas eve with her! As Shelly drove away in her van, Ginger had her ears pricked up staring at the window... it was soooo cute!! I cleaned up my mess and gave her a christmas apple before I left! Shelly was taking pictures, and I took a few of her on Ginger... maybe she will post them here after... I know she has a busy evening/morning... but in a few days maybe! |

Aww... Suzanna!!! I'm sorry I couldn't come up! I wish I had of!!  You've been doing excellent with her! Congrats on everything, and good luck in the future you two!! She's looking really good. Such a weird lope though! hahaha First time ever riding her and not what I was expecting.
Keep up the good work Suzanne, she'll be going along awesome by the time summer comes around!

Shelly, it is different isn't it? So uphill or something. Hoppy, but still slow. I like it... I find she lopes like a reiner Kinda curly. Suzzzzzz I love the riding pics. Maybe shorten your stirrups a hole and work on stretching down?! |
