glad these guys were seized... not impressed that the ad was so false leading... they didn't find homes, they weren't in good shape (obviously the photos were old), so they were seized... if you don't know the person or the story - don't post it!!!! just makes you look like newb - kind of like the owners of the horses. agrevates me to no end seeing horses like this - hence why all mine up here have been rescues
glad to see these guys in such good hands!!

I teared up when I seen Hurricane:( I had seen him at the track just before she took him and he was nice and shiney and in good weight. She was friends with some of us on FB she could of reached out to the horse people not when they looked like walking death. Poor guys I know they are in good hands now but I couldnt sleep last night knowing they were going hungry this whole time very sad. I have kept my horrible thoughts to myself but... Come on a blind person could have seen they were in bad shape. She has since removed me from FB and all she had to say was " They werent sezied I gave them up" Wow I hope you dont own any more animals!!

"lack of understanding" my arse. Agreed. You see an animal losing weight you feed it more. Does not matter if you know anything about horses or not, its common sense.

If I had a human child that I did not feed proper nutritious food because I did not understand how, it would be taken due to neglect. They wouldn't be like "oh, she didn't understand how to feed properly." Animals should still be treated the same way. If you can't raise one, don't have one. Or at least get help with it.
I'm sure her heart was in the right place, but it's not hard to see when you need help.

" it is a unfortunate situation" that is unacceptable. Even a inexperience horse owner can see their horses ribs and hips are sticking out. They may not have had the knowledge to understand proper vet care, farrier care etc but when your animal is wasting away in your back garden its a clear sign you need to either ask for help or begin educating yourself. Even better if both were done before purchasing the animals.

^ Clovelly would have him fat in no time. Can't get over the amazing job they did with Jazz.
Hopefully they both find excellent homes and get some weight put on over the winter.

They'll need to put a lot of weight on in the next 6-8 weeks to GET through the winter...... our winters can be hard on even healthy animals.
Jonathan - Trigger is so cute, it would be fun to have a new gelding around the barn. Maybe a new boyfriend for Cativa or Jazz, haha!

Something kind of fishy about all this to me I just read on VOCM that the horses were a "gift to the girl from a deceased father and brother"....

I'm just going to say this, not sure if he is still like it but Trigger was lame all the time before Makayla got him, thats why he was given to her for free. Just thought i would let you guys know. He's a nice looking horse though. Was told he was pretty high strung too, he was late getting gelded (he was 4). But he may have calmed down, not sure.
