Monday afternoon, I get home from school to find Josh had a very mild colic. I treated it as the usual colic, walking him, not letting him roll... Colic is not a major issue for me, I've seen it a lot! Shortly after Josh started sweating, and just looked really uncomfortable so we called Dr. A to come out and have a look, he said it was just a mild colic and this was causing him to sweat because he was in pain. Tuesday, he was no better so I stayed home to walk him. then he was shivering, but he was cripping with sweat! This continued for a few days, Thursday Josh was VERY sick!!! We ran blood work, Dr. A was busy so we went to our dog vet(her machine can run equine too) from these results we thought Botchulism(a deadly infection for those who don't know). All we needed to do was get Dr. A to confirm it and we were going to leave for PEI that night! After not being able to get through, we called a friends vet in NS. It was NOT botchulism, but what it was he didn't know. We were talking to Dr. A and he said he would come out in the morning and run more bloodwork. Today Josh is the same, no worse, no better. Dr. A ran more blood to find the same results as the day before. Josh has a mystery illness! Tomorrow morning, if Josh hasn't changed we will be heading out to PEI, on our way to the Vet Collage to see if they can find out what is wrong.
I ask if everyone can keep their finger crossed for me and Josh. Wish us luck and I will keep you updated.

Jacqueline, If there is anything we can do out this way, let us know. If you need a place to stay for yourselves and your horse, coming or going, your welcome to stay here. We are 10 minutes off the TCH in Deer Lake. Or even a place to turn him out for a short while on your way though. I have some 911 emergency paste here, if you think it might help.
