She looks super sweet! Just a suggestion, voice commands work wonders. You can teach your horse voice commands on the ground, such as verbally saying walk, woah, trot, or canter, easier to do the faster gaits while lunging. Or clukking for a walk and kissing for trot or canter etc. This can really help when you get on the horse because then when you verbally say the command and then put the leg on she'll have a better idea of what to do . Hope that made sense. She is a cute pony and with hard work she'll be a greatt pony

Thanks for the advice Ashley! Kately- No..its actually a halter with snaps acttached to it and the bit..it was the best I could do with a bridle at that time. I made sure it fit her ok though.

Just an update on Julie's progress. She now stands quietly while being saddled, I can mount without her flinching or anything, she'll now move off the leg (still a bit stubborn sometimes when she doesnt want to go where I want her to go lol), she turns left and right, whoa's, somewhat back's up, and today she started to learn to trot! Her trot is so funny though because she's so small but at least I'm not too heavy for her. Julie will be going back home, probably, tuesday because I will be starting a new job but I will still be able to visit Julie and ride her whenever I get the chance. I must say though..with the proper training, this pony would be an excellent childs mount as she does not kick, bite, rear or anything. Anyway, its getting late and I think I bored everyone enough! lol.
