^ Katyln A clinic is a lesson. typically with a different instructor then your own, hosted at a or a few barns. The clinic usually has a Topic. maybe english or western ( or maybe the clinician will swing both ways to meet more needs) To ride in a clinic, you'll want a horse, your own tack, and goal, whatever it is you are working on that you need help with from the clinician. you need to be very open with the clinician to get all you can out of it, as you're there to ride, to learn and to fix things. there are many types of clinics, there are ones where you dont ride, some where you watch people ride, some where you do ride and there could even be clinics where you watch movies to acess different styles and mistakes. All clinics intresting though. so to join a clinic, you'll need a horse, probley want to research the clinician, to see if his training is what you want, and to see what he has done in other clinics, and you'll want to sign up and pay for it. then wait for the day to come! sorry to take over the thread to write a book

Katlynn Clinic fees usually vary by the clnician. My trainer is usually 400.00 a day plus accomodations and expenses. The people hosting the clinic also pay for the travel of the clinican so it is incorporated into the fee of the clinic.
The last one I rode in was a reining trainer from Quebec. She was awesome and I will attend a clinic by her every chance I get. It was even better for me because she trained the mare I ride. The cost of that clinic was 300.00 for three days. And you get two hours of teaching time per day. There were never more then four in a lesson. We also had a party with her, went out to supper, and watched videos of our rides and other rides. It was a Great time and experience.
She travels around quite a bit teaching and taking clinics herself so she always has a wealth of information to share.
