Symptom Free! :)

I've been nervous to post about this afriad I may Jynx it butt Beauty has been Heave symptom free for TWO WEEKS stright today!
As most of you know shes had bit of a battle with Heaves we had tried everything meds, soaking hay, hay cubes,extra turn out. Now she was never horrid but she wasn't a rideable.
Anywho here is the exciting part 16 days ago I took her off sweet feed and now just have her on hay stretch. I don't own her so what grain she got didn't have anything to do with me but we decided she definatly didn't need to be on the extra sugar. 48 hours later her symtoms start to decrease and now 14 days later you would NEVER know she even had a repritory problem! Heaves can be caused by allergies but most of the time they are air born and hard to fight but it seems that beautys was sweet feed!!
We have our annual vet check this week so I'll keep everyone posted on what Dr.A says.
For now I'm on top of the world thrilled and have even bought her back to light riding

You might want to mist the haystretch with a water bottle when you put it in her feed bucket. as it can get a bit dusty near the end of the bag.

Good luck with everything, you are the best thing to ever happen to that horse.. It's so wonderful to see someone so in love with a horse and so determined to make sure she is happy and healthy.. i wish there was more people like you in the world : )

So as of today it is offical, Dr.A came and did all the annual checks/vaccs. and he agrees that Beautys heaves were caused by a allergic reaction to grain! He was actauly pretty imressed with how she looked and said her lungs sound great!!! Not going to lie I filled up a little when he finaly gave her a clean bill of health!! <3
