I was wondering if there will be any distinction between beginner, novice, intermediate or other divisions in show classes. According to the NEA site, for point earning classes, there is only junior, senior and open (and pony). I competed in the novice division for hunters (max. height 2'3") in Ontario last year, but I don't think these shows followed Equine Canada as they were run by another association and had their own rulebook. I guess I would just enter the senior classes? Thanks

Pretty sure you would just go in senior. Open is for anyone who teaches lessons, and advertises for those lessons.

anyone can go open if they want, they just can't go back. A junior rider could show open even if they were not a coach just for the challenge.
