I just wanted to let you all know that Mugger now called Artie is now officially out of harms way and has been succesfully rescued...
Michelle and Helene on the UHSC board -Ontario Division travelled well over 2-3 hours to come be part of the day as well...It was fabulous to get to meet the se 2 ladies and certainly Artie was happy to get lots of loving....
Michelle took some pics and so did Helene.....and will certainly post them ....
Artie got his name as he arrived and settled at TLC horse sanctuary....Being such a special day we decided to name him after Artie whoe trailered him there as we all there had something in common.
It was certainly meant to be....
Artie (horse) lead by Artie from his enclosure/trap walked like a true gentleman down the icy driveway and walked calmly right on to the trailer.Once loaded a big sigh of relief he let out (horse that is)LOL:)
He travelled fabulously nad Artie checked on Artie a few times on the way....He certainly travelled in a great big trailer and absolutely loved the ride. We arrived at the sanctuary and he unloaded like a pro and calmly walked down the driveway where he was met by 3 friendly 4 legged eyes. He let out a large neigh and was very content....Never acting studdy at all...Such a good boy....Then the calm walk into the unfamilair barn where he was greated by more friends..We prepared his stall and he stood calmly once again . ON stalled he went for the hay and water and was as quiet as can be. Another sigh of relief from him then a few snorts. He stood quitely as we worked on removing some items from reach distance..
To meet Helene and Michelle was a blesseed event. Helene is our 100th member on UHSC - Ont and Michelle is the person responsible for pointing Artie out to us.....Everyone had a great time. Artie (Hauler) came along with his 2 daughters and everyone had a fabulous time. We allworked as a team and no one ever had nothing to do.
My son joined me along for the trip and with Karen the founder of the sanctuary came along so all in all Artie(horse ) had lots of love today.
He is now well rested and settled in for the night. Monday morning the call goes out for gelding - shots and farrier is be scheduled for next week-end if all goes well.....Also we are scheduling a chiropracter 5 weeks from now to work on Artie(horse)'s back as we feel he may have a few disks misplaced from being confined for too long in the enclosure he was in....
We will be posting many updates for all who want to follow his story.
THANKYOU SO MUCH TO ALL INVOLVED. From donations - to trailering - to all the helpers today and all the hands and hearts that made thgis come true.....This boy is now in heaven.....May he be happy from now on....
All donations are still being taken in for anyone intested to help doante to his care
