just curious if there is anyone out there that is able to test for english levels. for western sylvia & erin can test up to level 2, then you have to do mentoring hours; then the other has to test you?

Erin can teach/test upto level 3 and teach for level 4 western. She cannot be the chief examiner for rider 4. An outside, unbiased coach has to do the level 4 western testing, and holds the most weight on whether to pass. Erin has her role of secondary examiner during rider 4 but it is not she who can make the decision to pass a rider or not. At least this is how I understand it as it applies to western.

any of the certified English instructors who attended the rider level update clinic can test for English 1-2. Western coaches cannot test for any of the English levels unless they are also certified as English instructors. The Marylew Murray Clinic at Clovelly might be a help as she is English and can mentor and test for things in the English program.

the old program level 1 is the new program level 2 correct? and you can 'challange levels' with english correct? but have to do 1-2-3-4 in order?

no, you can challenge the levels. the old two is the equivilant to the new 5. however if you challange it, you have to write all the tests for 1-5 for the written part, and for stable management and riding, she can ask you anything from all 5 levels, including patterns you have to know. plus you have to pay for all 5 tests.
