Hey well it's just as well for me to start a training log ! I had a Leason Tuesday . I stayed in the graden (feild) and Kelley made we stay near a certain area and made a square . I worked on my trot with star like always and kelley made me go in a circle at trot . Then while stay at a trotwith star Kelley went a found some ol' wood and bricks lying around and made a quick jump and me and star walked over it a few times then at trot then once we went over the jump a few times at walk and trot then went at canter a few times and we went over the jumps . It was only a few inches high haha ! Star was perfect ;D !!! It was the best leason ever and hoping to go tommorow if the weather works out fine ! This time were making more jumps and hopfully they will stay in there spot lol !

Bareback over jumps is pretty dangerous unless you have good balance.

um, 11 inches is A LOT to be "jumping" over when you don't know how to ride properly, considering 12 inches is a foot. you should NOT be "jumping" a foot.
you shouldn't be doing anything more than ground poles and even that's a bit much

honestly. if you're going to lie, you better get them straight... either that or go back to school and actually learn something.
okay. you've made a realllllllllly bad name for yourself in the horse community. i suggest stop riding until you get a certified coach who will put up with you and actually teach you properly. you're incredibly frustrating on every forum you go on because you won't take any advice we give you. so i also suggest stop posting on these forums.
i'm not saying this to be mean, but it's the truth.

then LEAVE. if we frustrate you because we are trying to HELP, you obviously need professional help and you should stop posting here on ntr and on the horses mouth because we really don't want to deal with you anymore. that's the cold hard truth.

I can sympathize with you Katlyn, really. I know that you do love horses, and I know how that feels, and well, everyone has got to start somewhere. But, in the horse world, starting off also means putting yourself in danger, I suppose, if you don't surround yourself in the right atmosphere. I know you mean well, and you would never put Star or any horse in danger, or hurt them, or anything of the sort. And yes, sometimes peopel give bad advice you shouldn't listen to. But what you should do is take any reasonable advice you hear, and talk to someone who's knowledgable about horses, someone you trust. You could even do research on the net, there's tonnes of online sites about horses. And I'm sure I, or any of the other girls, wouldn't mind you asking us questions. I certainly would try to help in anyway. I'm not trying to be mean, I know you're young and you love horses, which I think is wonderful. I really do. But sometimes you've just got to admit you're wrong, especially when you could end up getting hurt. What if you got hurt and couldn't ride? How bad would that suck? Learning about horses is a long process, and it can be hard, but please, take any advice (especially if several people repeat that advice) and just know we're trying to help you. Sometimes people just get frustrated because they don't want to see you end up hurt, or Star, or whatever other pony you ride. Just think about it.
