Yesterday was nice so Kirby (step father) took Domino out for a ride. Me and Alyson walked along of course, but Domino was absolutely perfect. He walked right out of the driveway, on the road, across the road, all perfectly. He went past moving ATV's and cars, and still cars, barking dogs, and didn't even bat an eyelash. I was so proud of my boy, so hopefully I will get for a ride today or tomorrow.
Today, I decided to take him out on the front lawn and let him graze. He had quite the field day (;D). Perfect on the lead line, never moved off it.
But, my neighbours have been absolutely terrible and very unaccepting. So Domino may[i/] have to go back to being boarded at CRS, we are now trying our best to comprosmise and reason, but everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.

Thats terrible! Cassandra has the same problem! Her neighbors comes up with the most idiotic excuses. They complained one time because they said that her horses manure was going to harm their potatos in their potato garden. Her horse wasn`t even near it. How stupid....PEOPLE USE MANURE FOR FERTILIZER!!! They are ridiculous! I hope your neighbors are a bit more reasonable than hers! Good luck!!!

Thanks.. but it looks as if he'll be moving saturday I'm really heartbroken. Their excuse is that Domino may kick (he'd never do it anyway) his kids who aren't supposed to be on OUR property anyway. some people!

Ashlyn my love, fight for your own rights!! Its YOUR horse, YOUR property and NOT your kids! I, for the sake of my life, would not let neighbours force me to move MY horse off MY land..thats ridicilious for them to get on like that! If they dont want their kids getting kicked then they should make surre they not go around your horse on your land! Not very responsible parents if their kids go around the horse and the parents dont do anything about it! Its their own problem not yours! Things like this rott my guts!!

Omg Ashlyn, don't move you're horse back to CRS just because you're neighbours are complaining! I hate neighbours! One of my neighbours flicked a rock at my cat when we were on vacation once and broke her shoulder.. we had to get her put down! So seriously if you want to keep your horse on your own proporty then fight it!

I know how neighbors are! I had Harry one day at my house when I was moving him to king ranch. I have a Very lager back yard full of trees so I made him a fenced in paddock in the trees so he had shelter and you won’t even know he was there. The only time he made a sound was every time I opened the back door he would whinny at me. Anywho the city had been called and my mom got a phone call saying they had to come up and look around. So a guy came up, we told him that Harry was only in transport to kings, that we were waiting on a trailer. He looked around seen that Harry wasn't running free, or causing harm, he had food, water and shelter ect...thank god this guy had horses of his own lol. Anyways he said everything was fine, its just people who have nothing better else to do but complain. The city said not to worry about them. So don’t worry if your not in the city limits and you can have your horse there. If domino is no harm to anyone, he’s cared for, they can’t make you move him. They have to have a VERY good reason, most of the time the city told me was I would have had to move Harry right away only if he was dangers to people. And Harry won’t hurt anyone!

Ashlyn, the best thing you can probably do is ignore them. I've had people say all kinds of crap about my ponies (Jeanine, you know who I'm talking about ) but I just kept on doing my own thing and they eventually stopped complaining!

ashlyn, i think you should get your nehbours to come visit domino and show them that hes just a harmless little sweetheart that wouldnt hurt a fly. you should NOT have to take him off YOUR property after youve waited so long to get him there.

Oh my gosh Ashlyn, remember when I was gonna lease Dream this summer, and was gonna keep her on my aunts property? Well thats the exact same excuse her neighbours gave me, its the most heartbreaking thing ever! If they're so scared, maybe they should actually watch their kids. That's their job, not yours. I'd fight back if I were you, they don'ht have the right to make you send him back. Domino wouldn't hurt a thing!

I agree with the other girls on this. Do you think if you asked your neighbors to give him a months trial or something like that and after a month talk about the situation more? I know still very unfair to you as it is your horse your property in a town that allows horses BUT keeping a horse next to people who realy don't want him there can be dangerous for the horse as well. Maybe they would comprimise?
