Went and caught Connor in his field. Kelsey helped me, but he was a perfect angel to catch and bring in. After I groomed and tacked up we began our warm up. We had one tense moment when Connor realised that part of our rope gate was down and walked right on out of it I kinda freaked at that! After Kelsey fixed the gate we trotted and cantered. At some points he was really energetic and at others he didn't wanna move Silly boy. Then we moved onto some jumping. We warmed up again over a small x rail and then a small vertical. We did a vertical (2 foot, mabey?) one stride to another vertical (2'3). Then we just cantered around. we also did this crazy big vertical (well, big for me and Connor at least ;D )(Geussing mabey 2'6, mabey higher???) When I saw it from the ground and when we walked past it it looked really big. But when we actually jumped it, it was just like a flick of the tail and we were over It didn't feel like anything at all! To end off Kelsey told me this really cool exercise on flying lead changes. Me and Connor usually have a stride or two of trot inbetween, but what we did today was we changed our lead over a pole It was a reall good exercise, and he was doing them very nicely

Rode The Man again today, fun times Sue very kindly had him tacked up and ready to go, and she even warmed him up for me! God, is it ever nice to have a personal groom jk! Luvs ya Sue!!! Anyway, he was nice and hyper by the time Sue finished doing her little thing with him, so I hopped into the western saddle, and cantered him around. He was REALLY feeling his oats! LOL. Anyway, after we dinished hand galloping around ;D I got him more under control, and we worked on w/t transitions and lots of position at the canter....NOT the handgallop Silly Boy. He was really good overall, and was framing up very nicely when asked

JUMPED TOADY!!! YAY! I went to catch him in his field and then groomed and tacked up. He was so dusty I felt like using a vacuum on him ;D After we warmed up w/t we worked on some nice canter circles. we also worked walking and trotting down the centerline and turning right at C, because for some reason he REALLY didn't wanna do that Anyway, I got him on the right rein, got him cantering, and tricked him into jumping a 2'3 vertical after we landed I cantered around to the other side of the ring and jumped this 2'6 jump!!! He literary FLEW over them, and I was very proud

Finally I can update again! ha ha. Anyway, right to my ride! Except for a little fall off Connor (it was quite funny!) it was a really good lesson. Since this was my first fall of him, I now officially lease him LOL! All that happened was that he spooked as we were trotting down the ring and gave a little hop up (I leaned forward ) and then I thought he was gonna bolt so I was like OK no biggie, but then all he did was put his head down low and since my balance was already forward, I just tumbled off his outside shoulder! It all happened so fast I didn't even have time to think When I stood up again he was on the other side of the arena but as soon as he saw me he walked back to me What a thoughtful boy After I had caught my breath and made sure I was OK, I got back on, and went on with my lesson. He was perfect! We worked on sitting trot in Sue's beautiful new dressage saddle, and w also worked on getting my leg and seat in the right position. It was surprisingly hard, but at the end very rewarding

Yeah, he's doing really well And, falling is just a part of the sport, cause you just gotta take it And I THINK (you might wanna double check with Sue) but I am pretty sure it's a Wintect. And I remember seeing the words Griffits, or something like that on the flaps. All I can say is that it's real comfy!
