I rode Duff today It was a really good lesson (Sue Lye taught me). We woked on steering with no rains wich was pretty cool. Then Sue lunged me at w/t/c and I had to sit back with mr shoulders AND my legs back. Surprisingly it was pretty hard!!! We then did stuff to improve my balance and all that like holding onto the back of the saddle, hands on my waist and things like that. dduff is a really cool old guy, and it was a good lesson

Just rode for about half an hour, warmed him up w and then did a lot of trot. He was going pretty good when we moved onto our canter work, so I popped him over a small vertical, he was LOVING it! ;D He was actually ok to catch in his field...once I had a small bucket of grain The only problem was that ALL the other horses especially Sarge and Bella kept following me. Bella was almost having a heart attack when I wouldn't give her the grain I had brought out! She was actually having a spaz attack ;D Silly horses!

I actually thought Bella was going to knock me over and then start a stampede. I was yelling for my dad to come and take the bucket, but he "Had his dress shoes on, and wasn't prepared to get them covered in horse poo!" That goes to show where HIS priorities lie ;D

I rode Connor again today, and we were bootin' it around the ring It was awesome. I figured out that if you keep him moving forward (and I'm talking energetic trot) he'll do as you ask, but as soon as you start walking he gets bored and pulls to the gate. We alternated standing by the gate, and cantering around the ring We warmed up and he was really energetic, almost breaking into a canter from the trot. whenever we walked he would begin to fuss, so I decided NOT to walk ;D We worked on simple lead changes, and he was getting them quite well. At the end when we were cantering around the full arena, it turned into a handgallop!!!!!! He even tossed in one or two bucks!!! They were small and I didn't mind 'cause both him and me had a great time
