Alright. So I guess its about time I start a Training Log for Misty now !! I really am not good at keeping these things updated and stuff but you never know maybe I can turn over a new leaf .. lol...
I guess I should probably start off by letting everyone know where we are now... I started with Misty I guess about a year ago now but I never really had an arena where we were before so it was kind of hard.. So really we just done work on the field there and had fun and went on trail rides.. Then one day I decided to ride Misty to Kathie Lanes ( Adventure Farms) in Grand Falls-Windsor.. It was very interesting on the way she wasn't afraid of Big huge trucks that drove by or dirt bikes or kids loudly flying by us on scooters ... butttt... haha she was frightened to death of her shadow, man holes and chip bags... haha Anyway we made it there safe.. Let her rest for a day and then we rode in the arena for the first time.... She did NOT know what stayin on the rail ment haha but she DEFINETLY knew where the door was and all she would try to do was leave haha.. ( ANDDD im sure that ppl who were at the Grand Falls show last year are aware of this .... haha but thats another story) She was the LAZIEST horse EVER in the arena she just did not want to work at all.. I had so many problems with her at first it wasn't hard to tell that she was a silly/stubborn 3 year old...... So we came a LONG way since then.. I even had her doing leg yields a few days ago I was so proud !!! haha PLEASE if anyone has any advice for a lazy horse please tell me... I wear spurs and it does nothing.. she doesn't even flinch... She wasn't getting grain where she was before but I have her on a pretty regular schedule now so she is starting to get more energy and the amount of ahh "fluffing" she does ( hah cause ladies do NOT FART) haha is retarted so its definetly not hard to tell that she is getting grain now haha.
So yea I rode her today and she was excellent We are still working on our leg yields and she is really comin around and "starting" to frame.. I really wish that I could get someone to come down and give me a lesson every now and then just to let me know how we are doing.... anyone know any instructors that would do that?? Anyways I didn't ride long today because a girl named Emily came down to try Shelby since I am trying to find a leaser so I had to tack her up and ride her.. OKAYYYYYY this is turning into a novel now and Im sure nobody will even read this far with how boring it is haha BUT if you did and you have any advice for lazy horses and if you know any intructors that will come to torbay and give a lesson every now and then please let me know haha THANKSSS
