I just had my last lesson at SC with Jessica. It pretty much horrible.. anyway if you want to hear me rant then read this.. okay here we go.. i rode Durango once again  and i'm pretty sad that i'll probley never get to ride Misty again. Anyway, first of all we went for a trail ride for warm up and then we went back to the indoor and did a bunch of changing directions, 20 m circles and stuff like that. Then we canterd for awhile which was horrible. I love cantering but Durango is western and absoluetly would NOT stay on the rail. It came to the point that i had to cross both of my reins over his neck like a western rein and boot him in the side (obviously not too hard, but pretty hard) to get him in on the rail and as soon as we got on the rail he would start to head off of it again and on top of that everytime i asked him to canter or even trot he would shoot off the rail.. ohh and btw all of this cantering was on his GOOD lead.. you don't even want to hear about his bad lead.. after all that we played red light green light for awhile for a sort of cool down and then went up to untack them and put them away.. what an awesome last lesson huh ? |

yeah but durango is slowest and never won and plus misty is fast and won everytime.. and plus durango was winning once but then at the last green light he decided he had to poo and stoped and everyone passed him. sorry if i sound like a sook but it was a very bad lesson |

thanks ! i've had a few days to cool off abit and now i feel much better ! i'm calling SC either tomorrow or tuesday to see if theres an instructer available and if theres not then Equine it is !

i had my first lesson at equine yesterday and it was alright other then i was in with a bunch of begginers haha.. thats okay though because it wasn't there fault because they didn't know what level i was at or whatever. So we did half an hour in the barn and half an hour out. When we got out we did alot of walk and then we trotted abit and after my first trot she said she would talk to angela about getting me in a more advanced group So then all of the rest of the people cooled out and i trotted some 20 m circles and cooled out by myself and went in to the barn I'll tell you when my new time is when i get it ! |

I think Angela is teaching Saturdays until she hires someone to work Saturdays, but ti could be Maria or Nadine or someone.

Huh? I think I must have mis-read this, do you mean that because Durango's western he wouldn't stay on the rail?

No, they were two compleatly different points. I just meant that he wouldn't stay on the rail AND he's westen (well mostly) not he wouldn't stay on the rail BECAUSE he's western. sorry for the misunderstanding.. it was my fault.. i should have clarified better.

I had another lesson today and i rode Sonny !! ;D ;D !! He was awesome ! I love him ! But anyway we didn't do much, partly because of reasons i will explain at the end of this post. We did walk-halt transitions, 20 m circles, stuff like that and then we trotted some 20 m circles (well i did anyway.. the other girl couldn't get beuno to trot and she didn't know how to post very well.. she was using the reins to pull herself up when she posted which was making beuno stop obviously) so yeah thats all we did. I still don't think i'm in as advanced group as i should be but i guess thats up to them to decide.... anyway about the thing that made us not do much was.. sonny was on crossties in front and beuno was on them in back so i didnt really get a good look at what was happening (anyone who did, please post your discription here *cough*stacey*cough* ) But anyway.. they were doing up his girth and beuno hates getting it done up so he started to freak and he reared and went retarded for awhile so i went in a stall with sonny because he was spooking at beuno and they put beuno in a stall to calm down and then they tried again after awhile and he still went retarded so emily (emily foley taught us) went to get ange and she came in and put he's bridal on and longed him for awhile and then we mounted and rode.. so this is why we didnt do much.. for one beuno was more crooked then ever and plus we were after wasting time. the end |
