Okay , So I've started english lessons with Sasha Hutton here at CRs and today wasn't my first lesson but we were working on the same stuff pretty much so I just thought I would make one of these to see how I progress since I am GREEN when it comes to english !

So for my past few lessons I've been using Yogi. We've been working on:
- position at the walk, trot, and canter
- trotting and cantering poles
- walk/trot transitions
- walk/canter transitions
- trot/canter transitions , etc.
- just the basic stuff

* Because yogi is also green when it comes to english and hes a bit hard anyway, and DEFINATLEY puts up a fight to do anything Sasha wants to try me on a different horse next weekend, and I'm thinking Laura because she is my second favorite horse in the barn and is EXCEPTIONAL.
More next weekend , and maybe pictures !

Alright Dudes,
done another lesson yesterday and it was SO much better than all my other lessons
(:

so this is what i worked on ! :
- keeping my arms in and thumbs up ,
- halt/trot transitions
- trot/ canter transitions
- some no stirrup work at the walk/trot [ both posting and sitting trot]
- i done some cantering , and yogi was a star at that he only tried to go into the middle twice ! i was so happy , usually i have such a battle with him .
but he has greattttt transitions ,, i bes so proud when i ride him (:

but apparently this is going to be my last week using yogi in my lessons because Sasha wants me on Laura to improve MY riding and not Yogi's behavior . but it is working

okayyyyy . another lesson was done on sunday.
Rode Ashley Guy's horse Breeze ( L )
I'm using him to the clinic next weekend and I might be leasing him this winter as well so I'm pretty pumped for that.

SO, !
for our lesson this is what we workind onnn :
- keeping my thumbs up and arms in. I am so bad for it but i was cathcing myslef a few times so I'm getting it
- walk/trot transitions
- trot/halt transitions
- trot/canter transitions
- walk/canter trasitions
- Lead Changess !
and that was about it. ACTION PACKED LOL .

SOOOO pumped for the clinic .. staying with ALISON ! WOO

okay well there was a clinic this past weekend and I attended ( :
I took Breeze, Ashley Guys horse. He was a superstar and really helped me out. i'm currently working towards my Western Rider II. In my lessons we working on:
- Trotting diagonals
- Loping Circles
- Speed Changes at the Lope
- Transitions
- Leg Yeilding

It was a big change for me because I've been doing english lessons all summer. But I enjoyed it, other than the COLD weather .

Another Lesson yesterday !

So i went to ashley's and we got breeze and teezer all ready to go and then rode up to CRS. There I switched saddles (i rode up western and had to borrow one of ruths saddles) and we got into our lesson. In the lesson we worked on:
- Posting Trot and diagonals
- working, collected and lengthen trot
- working collected and lengthen canter
- cantering poles, but breeze decided to jump them the first time
