So I am going to start one of these for Brooklyn, so people know how’s she’s doing in training where she’s up for lease. A little about brook! she is standing at a cute 13.1hh. she’s a dark bay with 3 white stockings and a blaze. She a Newfie pony and 3 years old. Her mom is Jenny and her dad is Dancey. She won’t get much taller but she will fill out a lot more. I started working her when she was 1 years old, with leading, brushing, feet, etc. I started her with a saddle at 2 years old, and she didn't care lol I lunged her at 2 with a saddle for a year. I started riding her the start of the summer, and she doing great. She only kicks out or "tries" to buck when I ask her to lope. She walks, trots fine now. And yesterday when I rode her she only kicked out once when we loped, then she was perfect. She LOVES attention!!! She loves to be groomed. She would be great for someone who loved to spend time grooming. Lets see….what else….she lunges, stands in crossties, baths, shoes, brushes, walks, trots, getting better at lope, has been on 2 trails and she’s was great. She can be suborn at times, but what mare can’t Her personality: she very tuff, strong, sweet, brave, and cute that’s all I can think if right now this eary in the morning here’s some pic of her

i still see the little foal that used to prance around and snap at my heels playfully when i was riding. shes such a beauty.

rode brook today for a few mins, she was good, tried to go to the door of the arena lol but she gave up after about 5 mins. her troting is great, i was working on troting circles and she getting better.

i didnt think she was Purebred NL pony.... back when my family was really involved in saving the newfoundland pony from extinction in order for them to be reg. they were not allowed to have blazes...im not sure aobut socks..i cant remember.....but that was a while ago...they may have changed the rules now. But she looks great!!! gotta love those ponies!!

todays ride on brook: went very very well. i took her in the indoors so there was no ponies outside to call her she was very good. no bucks or kicks. we joged a very nice place jog for a good 45mins, both ways within that 45mins we joged circles small and large. She is listening to leg alot better then she did, aswell i noticed she listens to my voice alot, she jogs when i ask her and stop right away when i ask her. She seems to like it when i say "good girl" to her and rude her neck, she relaxes alot more when she knows she gets prased for being good.

Brook has been on 2 trail rides in the last week shes doing great and is loving trails!!! she was soo good on them. She impoving so much!!

Brook has been progressing nicely. She has been on several trail rides, and she was great!! She's also being used in lessons. She gets so excited when it is her turn to be ridden. She's so sweet!! And she absolutely loves to be groomed!!

sorry i haven't wrote in a while lets see. I am hoping to get new pic soon and maybe a video. her training : Em has been helping me with her. I am not sure what i am going to teach her, so we will do a bite of everything i think. She is learning half halts, leg yeilding, and spins. she is getting WAY better at backing up now. she still great on trials. Her lope is coming aloneing, she can lope from a walk Me and Em jumped her over a 3inch jumped one day and she loved it, she was proud of her self. she can go over poles with no problem. we are working on her stop button lol. She like to run to the door lol we are working on that lol. I use her in my lesson with a 3 year old and she loves the attation! shes good as gold.
