Rode again tonight. Bareback. It was a laugh. I never did much because I never wnated to hurt his back. He was covered in mud from head to toe when I got there and it took me a good half of an hour currying him to get him clean. Luckily he had his blanket on all day so it was just his neck, face and legs. I even had to curry his blanket

Sabrina is the worst, she is the dirtiest mare I know! She has to stay for at least 2 days prior to shows. Loves the mud

Nick dosn't get too dirty. Just every now and then you kind of have to search through the mud to find him... hahah

Nick seems like the kind of horse that would gel his hair if he had thumbs. <3 michelle does he have back problems or you just don't wanna bounce around on it? I don't ride bareback much for that reason!

I have no other choice but to ride bareback on Tyra (for obvious reasons haha) and her back is fine! I'm sure a few bareback rides on Nick won't hurt him Unless he does have a back problems or something? I'm sure if I did ride Tyra almost every day, her back would start to hurt, but I only ride her every so often. Meh, who knows. Do what you want, love!

No, no, no. Nick's back is perfect! Im just afraid if I bounce around on him too hard/much it MIGHT hurt him.

Lunged Nick this afternoon. He was a STAR! We warmed up, then did some walk-trot-walk transitions. Then canter. Did alot of canter-trot-canter transitions. We did about 5-7 walk-canter-walk transitions and he did all of them perfect, both directions! Lunged for about 30mins and he never even broke a sweat, he is coming back into shape beautifully
