Went to the barn yesterday to spend some quality time with Star-man. (As you can see, we have many names for the little fur ball). I was planning to ride but ended up just grooming, goofing and lunging. It was great! Star did really well on the lunge. I did lots of transitions from walk to trot to walk to halt. He didn't kick at me one! My next adventure is going to be cantering him on the lungeline. I tried it once before but all he did was really race fast at the trot. Any words of guidance on how to get him to canter on the lunge without rushing?
Kayla and I have been making a set of polos for him for the Clovelly gymkana. The material was on sale for $3.99/m (regular price $12.99/m). I was so excited that I bought 4m. Kayla now has a blanket on her bed that matches Star's polos!

I don't know why but I read that as you bought 4 km of fabric and I was thinking, my gosh that must have been some sale!! To post photos you must place the tags and before and after the image's url (address given by photobucket) respectively, without any spaces. |

OK, thanks for coming to the rescue with the pictures! I don't often get pictures of me riding because i'm usually the one behind the camera. I'll try to get some during the gymkana - they should be VERY entertaining! My sister-in-law may be there to capture the action.
And I agree .... Kayla is sooooo cute - and tiny. 4 yrs old and only 29 lbs. The outfit that she wore to the NEA banquet was size 18 months. Can you believe it?! No wonder Star likes it when she rides him - it's like there's nothing on his back!

I forgot to add that it was 4 meters of fabric, not kms. Although it's pretty cute material. If they'd had 4 kms, who knows what may have happened?!
