spent about 3 hours up at the barn with my girl today. Brushed her super good, clipped her, pulled her mane, and pulled off her 2 hind shoes and trimmed her hind hooves. (going to do the fronts tomorrow) shoes will go on in a few days. Saddled her up and rode in the arena for an hour, worked alot of head carriage today, just mostly perfecting it, and getting her to stay on the bit. walk, trot, canter both directions, and some leg yeilding, shes improving so well. So Proud:D Unsaddled, cuddled, and walked around the house with her so she could eat some nice green grass around.

So i havent updated this is a while so this summer:
she carrys her head PERFECt now walk trot canter, stays in frame excellent. its good to see my hard work finally paying off on her.

Doesnt spook at a thing anymore. she wasnt to bad before...but there were things she was ify on. But shes becoming quite the big girl now:)

Goes on trails by herself and with groups not a problem. (on the way home she gets excited sometimes tho) but i love it! i love that she has the energy, and spunk where you have to be on your toes.

She's become so much better for shoeing, and trailering also!!

Alsoooooo shes now pushing 1040lbs now and almost 15.3hh!!!!shes matureing so nicely


Like its hard to believe how far this horse has come. I never thought i would see the day. and i love her for it. shes my girl:) and always will be now. we have a bond that is awesome, she follows me all the time like a big puppy:)

Ok I came home for the long weekend (Thanksgiving) and what a FAT horse i own now. All that muscle and sleekness i worked on this summer is now fatness lol. She also managed to loose her nice leather halter i had her in the feild...somewhere....anyone wanna volenteer to come look in 4 acres of grass for a halter?...thought not.

so i groomed her for about an hour, just talking to her. I miss her so much being out in st johns. its such a change form having your horse in the backyard where i could go see her every min of the day, to like zero horses.

Then i tacked her up and rode. She was a little rusty on the cues, and quite the lazy arse, (for once) but after about 10 mins she remembered everything. Did a bit of leg yeilding and walk trot canter and some poles, and then went for a trail ride, i just felt like relaxing with her this weekend. Didnt feel like making her work hard. or me for that matter, considering we both havent been rode/used since Aug.

I love her so much and miss her like crazy:(
