Went to the Barn this morning....skipped school.teehee:D haha yah i went and saddled up (rode western) We worked on some transitions...walk,trot,walk,canter,trot,halt, etc. changing direction, and shes getting to do some flying changes also:D which makes me happy. I;m still doing alot of circles with her, to teach her to slow down, and shes learning:D shes getting much much better with her trot, her canter is slowing getting better. after about an hour of a good workout she was still dying to run, so i let her stretch her neck and do a few fast canters around the ring we had the whole ring to ourselves:D...after that we did some leg yeilding, and collection and extension in the trot. After both us was sweaty and tired i cooled her out, brought her in the crossties, and unsaddled her, brushed and on goes the cooler and out i go again to walk her around for a bit. I get back in and Dad said "Amy she needs her feet done" "ill go get my tools" so i got my horse shoed also this morning:D yay for saving money when your dad decides to come to town and bring his farrier gear along:D So after she was shoed i lounged her a little more (maybe 20 mins) and back to her stall she goes. I wish i could get down more to see her:( i get down once a week if im lucky:P But she seems happy in her new barn. so that makes me happy. Good Rides always puts me in a good mood

Went to the barn today with Emily(thanks so much for the ride), and rode my girl. Took her out in the crossties, and groomed for a good twenty min. and safe to say i can now make a fur coat. Tacked up and went out in the arena, had it to myself for the most part, and then Em, Red, and Nat. came and joined us. We worked on transitions mostly. Walk, trot, halt, canter, halt, change direction. She was being a real B*** at first, when i asked her to canter, but yet again i had to put her in her place and then she was fine. Did alot of chaging direction, and working in circles, to get her to bend properly, and bend with her body not her neck, sometimes she does awesome and othertimes she just runs right through my leg, but thats learning i guess:P Cooled her out and took her in gave her lots of loving and sat in her stall for a bit, while Emily was still out riding. Then i went and watched/helped Emily do Erins stalls, and then we went home.

I was up to the barn to help Nat feed Saturday evening and Dream is to sweet for words!! Everytime I went down by her stall she hopped over for some love!! Shes a very beautiful girl!

so i havent updated this in a few weeks. Dream is now home, in Pt. Leamington keeping Star company:D so lately ive been working on transistions alot with her. walk canter trot canter, whoa (she stops on a dime when you say this) walk shes doing really well. shes moving off the leg really nicely, one of the warm ups ive been doing, is letting the reins go in the arena and just steering her with my legs, and she is responding to it really well. then after about an hour ride each day ill take her out on the road for a cool out, shes not too sure about the ice in the bay, but shes doing well getting used to different surroundings....im so proud of my girl:D in a few weeks im going to start some cross rails...super excited:D

all depending. Im going to be working out to Cache Rapids this summer, so ill prolly enter the shows out there. and whatever other ones i can get to around my scedule.
