Thanks!
I went out nice and early this morning and rode. It wasn't too warm but it was warm enough to get a sweat going! haha He started to get lazy and then cranky so after we had a good work out, we just ended on a good note. Always good!
Hopefully I can get a early ride out again tomorrow and back. Or maybe I'll ride in the evening. Hmm, who knows.
Lesson Wednesday, should be good!

So Rocky and I had our lesson today. We worked on trying to stay straight. We're getting there, I must say. After I couple of trips down the quater line, he was really getting the hang of it. We both were. We also did some canter work aswell. Just a few strides from A to E and A to B. After about three strides he turns in and my legs don't have enough muscle yet to keep him out. But we'll work on it everyday until we get it right and some help from Sarah Tulk when she gets home is much needed and appericated!!

^He probably is fully trained, it's your job to keep him straight, not his. Rocky's a greenie and he can do it. Just use your legs, hands, eyes and seat. Natural aids are all you need.
I'm going to try that stuff with Prancer tomorow, hopefully I'll be feeling a bit better once I get my b12 shot. I got tired -so- fast today. After trotting for like, 2 minutes I was ready to go to bed.
Yay lesson! Yay learning new things asopposed to just doing the rider one stuff over and over again! Haha.

Yesterday Rocky and I worked on everything we did in our lesson on Wednesday. It was great. We even got a really good canter going! I was so proud!
Today I wasn't going to go out but I decided to go out after supper. I decided to lunge today and it was good. Nothing really big, just an average lunge session.
Tomorrow I have to work at 1 until 5 and my parents are gone for the day so I have to ride but I'll be out Sunday for a nice ride:)

i got fed up with him trying to turn around and weaving all over the road [ i was also scared he would get us hit] so my sister walked with me [he follows everybody] the reason i got fed up is now that denver put on weight his is really strong and doesnt seem to notice the bit very much but were working on it. i guess it is my fault thought before we got him in may, the last time he had been riden was before last xmas. and since he was skinny i just walked him around for excerise, he is a tad spoiled but ill try and fix it. he is NOT getting away with it anymore. thanx for the suggestion mellu. p.s how old is rocky

Whoa, so an update is needed.
We've been doing amazing! Today during summer camp I let Rocky loose and he was perfect! Stood and ate tons of hay and then decided to wonder around the ponds and eat grass! I'm pretty sure he loved it. We didn't ride long today, just enough to use some of that energy and then I free lunged in the small arena. He loved that too. Minus the fact that the rope wasn't up and I didn't notice so he ran right into Josie's paddock and stole some hay!
I used him in one of the camp games on Monday aswell. He didn't spook once! He was such a good boy. Mel even tried to chase him and it didn't bother him that much.
We finally got our riser pad today!! I was so excited! I can't wait to use it. Finally Jess and I can ride together without one of us having to go western!
