Thanks Suzanne.
Yesterday Jess, Mia, Mel and myself were riding in the arena and everything was going good. Rocky and I did some pole work and lots of circles. Then we went for a couple of canters and got our correct leads! But after that we were trotting down by C and there was this huge bang and he freaked out and I ended up taking a nasty fall to my back and shoulder. I got back on after but we didn't really do much, just some trotting circles and then we cooled out. I couldn't go out to ride today but tomorrow I'm going to go over a try to ride depending on the amout of pain it's going to cause and if it's too bad I'll result to lunging.
We're both okay and that's all that matters.

that sucks, but you are right, you are both okay and that's what matters! We all take spills, just remember it's important to get right back up on that horse (as you did)! Good luck with him tomorrow and I hope your back and shoulder are better soon!

Today was my first ride on Rocky since I fell. There were a bunch of poles already set up so we went over those many times We did a couple canter transitions and lots of cirlces. We didn't do too much because my back started to hurt a lot.
I'm riding again tomorrow so I'll see what happens then.

theres a slick block at the barn actually, im guessing its Deannes, or some kids, but its left in dantes brush box i believe!
Rockys comming along great, by the end of the summer he should be looking like a babe! (not that he dosent)
P.S - are you taking him in the Equine English show on te 24th?
Thers Everything! Loads of flat classes, dressage, the kurs, over poles (i think?) theres green eq and great stuff!

Thanks guys. My back is doing so much better.
I found it in Brandy's brush box the other day but decided to pick up my own just incase it went missing.
Hopefully by the end of the summer he'll start to be getting his bum, it's so flat.
And of course I'm taking him! I don't know which classes though. Definatly the Kurr though. I'll try and figure it out. Any suggestions?

I'd say go in all the flat walk trot classes with him in my oppinion, woulden't want to put him through too much for his first show (Even though it's only a schooling show!) But the kur would definatly be a great idea too. Sarah if we put it forward a week that would be on the canada day show!

So Rocky and Sunny broke out of the paddock today. They ran up past the manure pile into the next yard where theres a little pony. They keep the pony on a long chain and Rocky got caught in it and he got his left shoulder/forearm all scraped. I didn't find out until 8:30ish where I then headed out to see how he was. It isn't as bad as I had thought, thank god. I'm so glad he's okay.

They just wanted to go for a run in the feild/ they did! Ange did have Sunny but when Rocky took off Sunny pushed poor Ange out of the way and ran for it too! And playing in traffic, those two need their ground manners adjusted! I think his 'hurty' bely will be fine, just give him sdome time off, and excercise him on the lunge line or something. The fleece girth cover is upstairs on the rail if you do want to try it, and have a looser girth.
