he is SO goegeous. d'aww no more pony rides? stupid saddle lol. i needs to come up sometime to see him. i havent seen you in like a month, i've just been so busy. anyways.. i'm with sarah too.. keep an eye on his back daily. i dunno if it'd work, but i'd try to massage it a bit,. not on the spot.. but around it.. to relax the muscles.. to help the pain(if there's any) . i dunno if they'd work or cause any more pain or tension.. but i'd try it out.. who knows.. it might help =) lol.. or even get a bucket of hot/warm water and a cloth. and dip the cloth in the water and lay it on the spot. i dunno if thats the case. but its worht a try.. if it doesnt work.. it'll relax his muscles anyways, i used to do that with bueno's knees just for randomness.. he didn't really need it. =P but i found that he really loosened up and moved more freely... .... lol. clay is SO cutee! he does look like red!(the horse) omg.. that last pic of you and him is AMAZING! its a match made in heaven. <3 iloveclay! AND CHAMP! woot! lol sarah

Hi there, Today i had a lession with Robyn. Clay was amazing! <3. Robyn rode him at first, got him warmed up and then i got on... He was Great the The Left, But on the right he started to through his head a little bit, and then Robyn pointed out that there were a few pointy teeth on his right side, so i need to get the Vet in to flote his teeth. When I asked him to canter, he was perfect, but when we went to the right, He decided that he wanted to play and started the put his head down, like he was going to buck. So anyway Me being the scairdey cat that i am, and having a history with a bucking horse, i got scaired to death and got of. Robyn got on, and i mena he wasent doing anyhting wrong, he jsut was playing... So Robyn got on and Asked him to cnater and shure enough he did it agan, but then he got out of it and canted beautfully... So then Robyn made me get on , i had the feer of god in me, but he was fine, I pushed him through it and he was perfect after.. Im glad that Robyn made me get back on becuase if i didnet i would have the feer he would do it agan next time i ride...
thats about all...

That is great that you got back on even though you were a bit hesitant. It shows real maturity on your part and a willingness to learn. I understand your history with Patty and it is great to know that you understand that Clay doesn't mean any harm by his bucking in the canter. He is probably just being a typical baby saying "Yay it's finally time to canter!!!!!!!"! Keep up the great work (and by the way, you should get some pics of Mr. Beautiful!)

ok, today i rode Clay for about a half an hour. After being the first Real snowfall, having snow fall off the roof was not fun. What happend was when the snow would heat up, it would make a really loud sliding sound, and then a crash... So anyway I was ridding and it happend and Clayton Spooked, I got really startled, so robyn walked by me for a couple of minunts , and then what do you know- another one!I wasent expecting it, so of course i fell of ! Im ok thouhg, My Tailbone herts alot though..... Robyn got on for 5 mins, and then i got on agan.... he stoped spooking after.... thats about all....

well it sounds like he needs a bit of work, but keep at it and DON'T give up because that is the worst thing you can do to a horse. And keep working on getting that fear out of you because that is not going to do you any good good luck with it

I don't know what time you rode Hilary but when Mary-Lou was riding from 5-6 the snow was still sliding.
Thank god nothing happened when Rocky and I were having our lesson or I probably would have came off too! hah
